Perhaps you think public speaking is an important characteristic in a president. I hardly think so.

Yes, I agreem, all the Bushisms  mean nothing. Would it make him worse if he stuttered? Would it make him better if he talked fluently with a manly voice but started an atomic war against Europe?

A politician should be a good orator and a good debater.

And he has to be handsome, tall and a sports? Welcome to TV democracy.

A Christian like in a perfect storybook

stinkz:
Can one person give me a legitimate reason for disliking Bush, besides the war?

• He made his only money with a dirty share deal
• He looks genetically unhealthy and eats no vegetables. How can you expect any nature-supporting from such guy? It's like having a mongoloid president and asking "Why don't you like him?"
• He was (is?) a drug-addict IMO → George W. Bush is on psycho-drugs (strong anti-depressants)
• He opposed the 9/11 commission and refused to give them information
• He spied on allies
• He aligns with ultra-Christian and doubtful personalities (Ashcroft, Rumsfeld ...)
• His wife killed Michael Douglas IMO → No joke: Laura Bush (Bush's wife) has killed Michael Douglas
• He wants to support local psychiatry for youngsters IMO → Bush to Want Everyone Screened for Mental Illness
• He made the world hate the US and probably started a deadly spiral
• He hold speeches like from another century IMO → State of the union address sept 20th 2001
• Bush has been elected mainly by clueless USAnians IMO → New poll proves that Bush supporters have little clue
• More annoying things in the Bush section of this forum, e.g. IMO → Why Bush is a menace and doesn't deserve a second term
• More annoying things at
• ... Oh and since you said "except the war" I won't mention his tortures, his lies and that he is considered a war criminal by international law experts.

So Bush is probably worse than Reagan. IMO → Ronald Reagan is dead

However there are some things which are good about Bush: He lowers the taxes and is funny.

Please don't answer to single issues I pointed out here. Answer in the appropriate threads in the Bush section

liberal bias is a strong influence...

If you didn't want me to answer to them, you shouldn't have posted them, and merely sent a link to the other forums. I am now obliged to answer them all. If you wish to move your post and mine into a separate thread, so be it.
knn:

Please spare me the nature-hype, enviro-nazi bull. Evironmentalism has practically become the new religion, and movies like "The Day After Tommorrow" promote it's propaganda.
knn:
He was (is?) a drug-addict

This didn't stop you from liking Clinton. Oh wait, I forgot. He didn't inhale.
knn:
He spied on allies

I don't think we should have allies to begin with. "Peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations, entangling alliances with none." -Thomas Jefferson
knn:
He aligns with ultra-Christian and doubtful personalities

Is there a such thing as "ultra-Christian?"
knn:
''I know this as an adult, and even more as a parent, it was crushing ... for the family involved and for me as well.

What a hateful murderer!
knn:
He made the world hate the US and probably started a deadly spiral

He didn't make anybody do anything. The world hates the U.S. because we decided to act on our own, without the U.N. I have no problem with this, and I think the U.N. should be disbanded.
knn:
He hold speeches like from another century

I believe I heard most of it before, and I just read a little bit of it again. You dislike it because you dislike him.
knn:
Bush has been elected mainly by clueless USAnians

You mean all those people from Michael Moore's "Jesus-Land?" Please. Give us all a break with the ignorant slander.
knn:
he is considered a war criminal by international law experts.

That is exactly why I'm glad he won't submit our troops and diplomats to the International Criminal Court.
knn:
So Bush is probably worse than Reagan.

I'm finding one thing very odd. According to some of your posts, you have shown somewhat of an understanding politically, and don't by into all the liberal, statist hype. However, the only U.S. presidents you dislike are the conservatives. What could cause this? Liberal bias in your media, perhaps?

As a Bushie I am offended

I dislike Bush? Where did I say that? And no, I won't answer your post until you post in the appropriate threads.

Moreover you didn't answer 1 allegation. Instead you merely shot back. "Oh, yeah, and what about Clinton" or "He spied on allies? We shouldn't have allies anyway". These are no answers.
"Oh, yeah? I am a murderer? That idiot should have died anyway".

Lol! It is quite funny the way Stinkz managed to agree with every point you made Knn. So much for a rational argument. Stinkz just admitted defeat!

Anomaly would have made a stronger case and he isn't even American!

spare me

How could I be admitting defeat, when there was nothing to admit defeat to? Someone would have to be a complete moron to dislike Bush because his wife accidentally killed a person early in her life; or because he doesn't buy into the nonsense about our planet dying; or because you can label most of America as "USAnians."

There was no rational thought worth arguing with.

Ad hominem attacks are unnecessary. If my arrogance is unmerited, then explain how with a rational, coherant statement.

My point still stands. Nowhere in knn's ramblings is there a rational reason for disliking the president. In order for any of the arguments to appear rational, one must hold to several illogical biases. One, that environmentalism is anything more than a self-righteous religion perpetuated by the government programs that benefit from sueing people for developing their own land. Two, that to be "Christian" is necessarily a bad thing. Three, that everyone who votes conservative is a "blind USAnian." Four, that outward appearance is more important than the heart. And finally, it must not be bothersome to be completely hypocritical (blame one person for something, while embracing another for it).

Yeah, sure. Spying on allies and being a drug-addict is not a valid reason in your eyes, is it? Being a war criminal and ruining the worldwide goodwill towards your own country isn't either?

Stinkz, these accusation are AS CLOSE AS YOU CAN GET to prove that it's VERY valid to dislike the president.

What else do you want him to do to accept the validity of my accusations? That he kills someone with his bare hands and it's shown on Television?

And for heaven's sake. I DID NOT EVEN MENTION HIS 2 WARS and his LIES.
stinkz:

Nono Now compare MY level of arguing to yours. Nono

knn:

I realize that. And it is sad. I've never disliked a person because their wife accidentally killed someone. I've never hated a person who admitted to a drug addiction habit, and recovered, instead of hiding or flaunting it. I've never hated a person because he was a Christian or because he associates with one. I've never hated a person for having a speech impediment. And, most of all, I've never hated a person for doing the right thing, despite public opinion.

You cite only the least valid reasons and blend out the others.

That is not the SOLE reason. But Bush started 2 wars and is responsible for tortures. So pointing out that his own wife killed someone can be an important fact. Not everyone might believe that this was an accident. And even if: Not everyone might believe that it was a coincidence that George Bush and Laura are together: It has something to do with "attractions" and "fate". It's about whom George Bush associates with.

I don't ask you do believe this, but this, too (= his wife is a killer) is a valid reason to dislike Bush.
