so, who's side are you on again? against or for the magazine or in the middle? you highlight the BS parts, yet you think it has several good points. are the bold sentences the good points, or the BS parts? just asking... Well, you could at least read what I wrote.  nocturnal_anonymous: I'm a subscriber to a magazine called The American Prospect: Liberal Intelligence (I know people are going "What? Isn't she a Christian?") and it had this great article on the ridiculousness of "The God Squad." The part that I bolded in my entry was what I thought one of the best examples of the ridiculousness of religious fundamentalists.

LOL  how about your re-read my statement! LOL. So, who in fact hates the US and why? The Arab world? Well, we really wouldnt know that would we since every single Arab country besides US-occupied sovereign Iraq severely restricts free speech! so how would we know? Any average man on the street in say, Syria, (call him Joubar) may or may not like the US, but certainly isnt going to stand up and say it in a newspaper or on tv. If Joubar, random Syrian citizen does that, Assad's ruling dictatorship will send some thugs to imprision him, seize his house, and rape his daughter. That is the way of life in a place like Syria and to varying degrees in most Arab countries (i exempt Morocco, Kuwait and Jordan perhaps since they are somewhat freer)
So we really have no way of knowing whether Arabs hate America. We do know, that in Iraq, 3/5ths of eligible voters braved suicide bombers and Baathist serial killers to vote in an AMERICAN sponsored election. hmmz do these people really hate America so much? does knn or any1 else on this forum hate America? plz elaborate posted by FrogTrain |

omg man, i already read that and none of those are good reasons! What is your knowledge? you assume every Arab hates the USA and it is all George Bush's fault? on what basis? Cause the media says it? we have know way to know since no Arab country except Iraq has free speech. This hatred of Bush is insane. people make him a scapegoat for all the world's problems. The USA shouldnt have to apologize for having a president that believes in freedom and hates tyranny and that alot of terrorists now look like this ----->  thanks to George Bush!
