the anomaly: hard to see the dark side is i saw that comin', I was hoping you would instill some of your keen jedi intellect upon us! but tis true, you answered all that needs to be answered... A starwars fan friend of mine said some crazy theory the other day. Said if you read the books and stuff the whole mythos you see that the story is not about vader or luke but about r2d2! have you heard of this nonsense? his basis was because everytime someone is in great peril, guess who shows up to save the day? In the commentary for Ep. 2 on the DVD, Lucas specifically states that the movies are all about R2D2. ..but C3P0 too, Lucas always said each film is told from the perspective of the droids, they are like the story tellers in the whole saga as people come and go but the droids are always there in one form or another. posted by Crossfade |

Kinda strange, if you watch the episodes 4 5 & 6, you never really see the droids or vader in the same room, and to think the mighty Darth Vader made the weak bastard C3P0!
It's a strange connection, Vader makes Luke & C3P0 (who forms a friendship with R2D2 in the first few movies!) C3P0 & R2D2 help Luke and the lot, Luke eventually fights Vader, Luke gets screwed over, Vader gets angry and kills Sidious! So without Vaders two creations, Sidious may have never been beaten!

hungarian kid: if you watch the episodes 4 5 & 6, you never really see the droids or vader in the same room I think the only time Vader is with a droid is in Empire in the carbon freezing scene, 3PO is straped to Chewies back, apart from that they never actually 'meet' in any sort of fashion. The thing is these droids are throughout the galaxy so would Vader know they are his droids? well 3PO at least, R2 is pretty much Bens posted by Crossfade |
