Anakin is supposed to be the most powerful jedi there is, so how does Ben beat him in a straight fight? I suspect if Amidala is there she distracts him and Ben does the decent thing and throws the sod off the cliff. posted by Crossfade |

 Well there'd be other stuff effecting the fights. Even if they are Jedis, they can still be effected by rain, heat etc. Ben probably beats Anakin out of fluke or pure desperation. posted by hungarian kid |

just because anakin is stronger in the force...doesnt mean he is a better sabre duelist or perhaps it is obi wans calmness and discipline that overcomes the power of the dark side remember yoda says that the dark side is not more powerful...just quicker,easier and more seductive posted by the anomaly |

But he took out Maul after seeing his master get slain right in front of him. Add a bit of anger and you've got alot of good with a bit of bad, much like the yin yang symbol. Dark couldn't take over Light with using a bit of light and visa versa. The Light side of the force is slow, and using a quicker method of power after gaining sooo much is like a short rage.
