Ive just noticed that everytime he gives a speach it looks like he is grinning. Next time you see him behind a bodeum look at his mouth, you will think he is smilling when he is talking about Iraq or anything for that matter. Its just weird. posted by Lexx |

 Look, he's not a real idiot. There are many people who are far stupider than him, just that you never hear about them. He's a friggin' idiot when it comes to Middle-Eastern politics, he shou;dn't be in the political arena. It's not that he's overly stupid, just not smart enough AT ALL to be a front-line politician. I'm not saying I'd be better, but I wouldn't run for the job. subjectively, I think that he's a self-centred idiot for going into Iraq and believing that he'd be successful.  Not sure what Jonathan's post has to do with the topic, but I'll answer it anyway. Jonathan Howard: subjectively, I think that he's a self-centred idiot for going into Iraq and believing that he'd be successful. He's a liar about MDW, but that's just my opinion. I'm not sure Bush hasn't been successful in Iraq...The stated reason for going to war in Iraq was always "regime change," and now Saddam is in custody and on trial for his crimes and Iraq is on its way to becoming a democracy. Another reason for Iraq that Bush managed to conflate with regime change was the whole "fighting terrorists abroad so we don't have to face them at home" thing, which may also be working since terrorists have yet to successfully attack the US in the four years since 9/11, despite numerous threats and a general global environment of anti-American hysteria. As I have argued here: IMO → #1 Best Argument Against the Iraq War: It's Cowardly The best arguments against the Iraq War do not revolve around the success of the mission, as did the arguments against the American failure in Vietnam, but instead emphasize the immorality and general cruelty of the war. As I say in that thread, the mission has been generally successful, if difficult and full of hardship and death as are most wars. What America has lost is not the war but the general goodwill of the world due to the cruelty of the war, which will take a long time to recover. Jonathan Howard: He should be impeached for incompetence as a politician. Do you know who passes articles of impeachment and conducts impeachment trials under the US Constitution? Congress, which is made up mostly of incompetent politicians!
