»180 degrees of Bush«

I have been a long-time believer that (whatever Bush's intentions are) things turn out directly opposite of what he wants Shocked
• He wanted to be the great uniter not a divider
• He wanted to put back integrity into the White House
• He wanted to strengthen the US military
• He wanted to raise the world's opinion on the US

If you consider how things are going then maybe (maybe!) the following of his wishes could mean much more trouble in the years to come:
• He wants to fight terrorism
• He wants to bring peace into Iraq
• He wants to strengthen the economy

I want never gets

• Wanted to stablise relationshipe between middle east countries
• Wanted to resolve the Israel / Palestine Issue
• Wanted to form stronger links to Europe

And perhaps most worrying.
• Wants to what's best for his people.

But there is a glimmer of hope
• Wants to rule the world

Nutter

Of all the presidents that have been shot at you just know no one will take a pop at this guy, he's so nuts he'd probably pull out a .44 magnum and start shooting back! White laugh

If you ask me, Shrub doesn't actually want any of the things he says he wants. Consider the 'No Child Left Behind' act: it's specifically designed to do the opposite of what it sounds like it should do.

I think he's a coldly calculating evil beast.

...And, I'm an American.

Negative laws, nice names

If I was king King for a day I wouldn't allow positive sounding laws like "Patriot act". Either it should be neutral or negative.

Bush had no clue then and no clue now

I am just reading the presidential debate between Gore and Bush (4 years ago) and it makes me to post here in this topic (the first topic of this forum).

Bush obviously had not the "singlest" clue what he was talking about. And Gore was right. I hate to say it but everything turned out to be exactly the other way. OK, 9/11 came and stuff. But 911 is overused as an excuse.

Just take his answer to "What are your guidlines to lead the strongest power in the world?"
BUSH: First question is what's in the best interests of the United States?... Strong relations in Europe is in our nation's interest. I've thought a lot about what it means to be the president... If we're an arrogant nation, they'll resent us. If we're a humble nation, but strong, they'll welcome us. And it's -- our nation stands alone right now in the world in terms of power, and that's why we have to be humble... if we're a humble nation they'll respect us.

Uff, turned out the other way round.

Another proof

Take George W. Bush's commercial for the US presidential election 2000. (The commercial is called "Hopeful")
BUSH: I think there's a lot of cynicism today in America because of broken promises. I believe most people expect the best out of elected officials and when elected officials disappoint them it creates a cynical environment. Secondly, I believe oftentimes campaigns resort to mud-throwing and name-calling, and Americans are sick of that kind of campaigning. What they want to hear is what's on the candidate's minds, and where the candidates' hearts are. I'd like to run a campaign that was hopeful and optimistic and very positive.

Aaaa-ha. Yeah, sure... Set your George Michael free

(( But just let me add that Bush's 2000 campaign commercials are brilliant. Some of the best I have seen. The 1972 Nixon ads are cool too. The 1952 Eisenhower ads are dilettantely funny ))

After the storm Katrina he said that New Orleans will be rebuilt. If Bush said that, then it means it won't happen soon.

And, oh, he also wanted to send US astronauts to Mars. That probably means, there will be 2 nations before the US on Mars. I learned something new, I guess

but he did follow through with is threat to invade... wait "liberate" Iraq. And he stuck to all his promises of tax cuts, even when we were having record budget defecits, and in a fooking war. I don't think america has ever been in a war before and had tax cuts at the same time, it's just retarded on the face of it. Basically, he does what he wants to do (although the results he claims will come from those actions I will agree, usually don't come to realiziation). And he definatly is good at going on vacation, he's just a few days shy of having spent an entire year of his presidency in crawford of the 5 years he's been in office, while the average american has 1-2 weeks of vacation a year. As for Bush differences from 2000, and 2001-5, few are better or funnier then the daily show's bush vs bush debate.
