ouch. 15 bucks? That's a little steep per month. I mean, it's brilliant marketing because if your really into the Matrix (ahem, all of us) you're going to pay that 15 bucks. But alas... posted by GP |

zesja: monthly subscription fee of $14.99 to players Ummm is that 14.99 American dollars? Cus then it's 30 here... fuck! Aaaah well, bugger it, 30 amonth isn't that much I guess, still it means getting a steady job... freakin hell! Crossfade: Dude, you do realise when the baby comes along you are going to have next to no time to play the game with us! Yeah, you don't wanna get addicted to them MMORPG's, especially when you have commitments like that! I'm sure you'll be fine though! posted by hungarian kid |

hungarian kid: Hahaaa, I might betray y'all and get World of Warcraft instead! ok seriously I love blizzard games as much as the next guy, but THIS THE FRIGGIN' MATRIX MAN! did you ever go to a warcraft forum? I THINK NOT! i rest my case... GPieters: but, which side do we choose to follow? i can't believe no one has discussed this further... supposably the other factions (if your working for a certain one at the time) try to pursuade you to join them, or at least work for them by offering better weapons, info etc. if you choose to do so. It might be worth considering spliting factions (if everyone does not agree) to see what they have to offer, reassmemble and go from there...but that is only if these people (ya I'm talking to Guest ) get there collective heads outta their asses and WAKE UP GP your leaning humans? we saw what they did to mess everthing up in the first place, do you think anything will be different now? posted by The ONEder Man |

US Dollars yep, the good news is they are planning to launch the game simultaneously in North America and Europe so if you live in those areas we get ahead start on the rest of the world Quote: but, which side do we choose to follow?
i can't believe no one has discussed this further... I think we need to take a poll on this so we can see who wants what and then when everbodys decided we need to think of a name for our crew? Quote: I think everybody that plays is going to be from Zion. According to the MxO webside all New players start the game as characters just escaped from the Matrix. You can then play solo or in group missions and can join or lead a Hovercraft Crew. posted by zesja |

The ONEder Man: GP your leaning humans? we saw what they did to mess everthing up in the first place, do you think anything will be different now? Umm...yeah, I guess so. I mean, I think that by choosing the humans' side, that doesn't necessarily mean you're anti-machine. IMO, I think it means that you are willing to coexist w/machines, you just don't want to be slaves to them. But, we'll see. Supposedly, the theme for the first year of the game is "Peace...and the things people do to destroy it." zesja: I think we need to take a poll on this so we can see who wants what and then when everbodys decided we need to think of a name for our crew? I agree. I'll start one. posted by GP |

Count me in if y'all choose to play MxO. Btw, I was in early beta, but the game was so bad at the time I couldn't even beta the damn thing. I'm quite glad they pushed back the release date. posted by Tiefling |

Not allowed to spill the beans, I'm worried, though, with repeated delays that the game won't make it to market. More than one MMORPG crashed and burned before release during 2004. Dragon Empires was a fairly substantial one that went under. posted by Tiefling |

Btw, I've tried more than one MMORPG, and the universal law I've found to all of them is --- My enjoyment of an MMORPG is directly proportional to the quantity/quality of my friends who are also playing said MMORPG. So ya, I'd be quite interested in playing MxO with the IMO crew. A great grp of friends can more than compensate even if the game itself is mediocre. posted by Tiefling |

Tiefling: I'm worried, though, with repeated delays that the game won't make it to market. I don't know. I can see it for games based on new ideas and such, but w/the financial backing that this game has, it would be hard for me to see them giving it the ax. posted by GP |

Microsoft's MMORPG "Mythica" was cancelled. Now, granted, <insert snide comment about Microsoft here>. But Microsoft definitely has financial backing at its disposal. Regardless, I do hope MxO makes it out, but I have a feeling that too many more delays will sink the game. The longer it takes to make it to market, the more issues arise. posted by Tiefling |

...the game will have problems when it arrives, look at the farce that was Starwars:Galaxies, even now it still suffers from silly bugs and lack of players on a lot of servers. But like Starwars i can see the people who play Matrix are pasionate about this thing so it will go on for years i suspect posted by Crossfade |
