Quote: A tabloid newspaper in Britain claimed to have exposed major security breaches at the Athens Olympics, after one of its reporters got a job at the main stadium without a thorough security check.
Greece's public order minister George Voulgarakis on Sunday advised a British newspaper journalist to "read fewer police fiction novels", adding that articles such as those appearing in today's edition of the Sunday Mirror tabloid were a "deep insult to journalism. posted by knn |

Didn't they make it illegal to fake a terrorist threat? I'm sure it was in response to the "white powder in the mail" scares, they started arresting people for sending talc "as a joke". Besides I thought journalism was about reporting news not making it. Then I suppose the tabloids are little to do with journalism. posted by Marl64 |

Quote: Didn't they make it illegal to fake a terrorist threat? He didn't fake a threat. He didn't call the police and say "There is a bomb that will explode at 3 o'clock". Quote: Besides I thought journalism was about reporting news not making it. He is investigating. That's also a duty of a journalist, otherwise many affairs would not be uncovered. And what the minister is doing is trying to cover up his security failures by shooting at the messanger. posted by knn |
