My good friend zesja took this picture in Wales whilst on holiday around 1993. I gotta say, it spooked me. If you watch closely, you can see that it almost looks like one of those medieval knights holding a sword. She's gonna be here later to explain, since she knows the story way better than I do. In the meantime, enjoy. [CLICK HERE TO VIEW THIS PICTURE] posted by Echelon |

I'm here now, Thanks Oscargabrielp I know you've been itching to post the photo Right then, this photo was taken at a place called Bosherston Lily Ponds which is in Wales. The Lily Ponds are believed to be where King Arthur sent his favourite knight Sir Bedivere to return his sword Excalibur to. So obviously the Sword is supposed to be in these ponds. So could this be the ghost of Sir Bedivere guarding the lake & the sword? You decide lol Just in case you ask the film was prefect throughout and only this photo came out with this image and it is on the negative. Even spookier is these old portraits/drawings of Sir Bedivere (see attatchements) unless its just me they look extemely similar to the ghostly figure in my photo? Didn't see it in nature, I just noticed it one day when looking through the holiday photos with some friends. Then checked the negative out and it was there too. posted by zesja |

What were you taking a picture of though? Your camera is centered on a non-distinct clump of trees or pond scum. If you had been planning to create a fake, that's definitely a convenient angle from which to make one, posted by Tiefling |

Quote: What were you taking a picture of though? I was taking a picture of the ponds? There wasn't much place to stand unless you want to fall in so that was the only bit of solid ground otherwise there was only that rickey wooden bridge thing on the left. If it is a fake, then it would have been very difficult to achieve seeing as it was developed by your standard photo processors and in the early 1990's there weren't any highly capable computers for doing stuff like you can today, so how else would it have been faked? posted by zesja |

Feck knows what the image is, could be a ghost, who knows? As for the story about it being one of King Arthurs mates, that's a load of cobblers. The ponds are man made and didn't exist until the eighteenth or nineteenth century! I'm no expert on history, but I'm reasonably sure matey boy Arthur was pushing up daisy's long before then! posted by Shakermaker82 |

Coincidence or Bull Shit, this place and many others are believed to have links to King Arthur whether they be feesable or not. Go tell it to the tourist board or the historians if you think otherwise However, prior to the the lily ponds being formed in the 18th-19th Centuries there has always been a secluded sea inlet which ran through the narrow limestone valleys. So the place still existed as some sort of inlet from the sea long ago. There is also a 6th century cliffside chapel not too far away that still stands today which is said to be where one of King Arthurs knights retired to. So as the real King Arthur was born in the 6th century A.D. the timing could work posted by zesja |

Let's face it, the operators of the London Eye would tell you it was the last resting place of King Arthur if they thought it'd attract more custome! But I guess you could be right, I've been to Bosherston many times and I'm well aware the whole area is steeped in history. I just like to question these things before believeing in them! Moving slightly off subject, what's the name of the beach you come to after walking through the lily ponds? Not Barafundle, that's down the road. I can't remember it but I've been there loads of times. My grandad who lives near there was telling me about this book that documented a load of UFO activity that happened there in the seventies. Cattle in near by fields were found half a mile down the road in another farmers field after UFO's were spotted one night, and a huge rock that sticks out of the water a few hundred yards into the sea from the shore at the beach near the lily ponds was seen to have been entered by men in space suits through a door which has never been properly located, after a flying saucer was spotted hovering above it before shooting off into the night sky. I know the Welsh are a curious bunch, but I don't think they've mastered space travel yet! posted by Shakermaker82 |

I've been there a few times a gorgeous beach mind you apart from the fact you have to walk a nearly a mile over cliffs to get there. Don't know about any UFO's sighting but there is a MOD base pretty close by. Who knows what they get upto [CLICK HERE TO VIEW THIS PICTURE] posted by zesja |

Ah ha! Broadhaven, that's the kiddy! Well, after an extrmely brief search on Google I found the following; "but Pembrokeshire isn't only home to Europe's oldest folk memory it is also home to Europe's newest folk memory too, that of the 1970s sightings of numerous UFOs in what became known as the infamous 'Broadhaven Triangle'". Well, thanks for clarifying that for me, I couldn't for the life of me remember what the damn place was called! Ok, I'll cease this short diversion form the ghost subject, you may continue... posted by Shakermaker82 |

The Broadhaven in the title of the 70's book about UFO's is on the other side of Pembrokeshire. My mate Graham is mentioned in the book. He was late for school one morning and was sent to see his form master to explain his tardiness. Waiting outside the office for the inevitable bolocking, he came up with what he thought was a good story. Ordered into the menacing presence of the teacher, he explained that he was walking to school when he saw a UFO. Such a fascinating, supernatural experience had to be savoured to the full, and as the saucer floated around for so long, it was inevitable that he was late. The master was impressed with his gall, abd dismissed him with a smile. My mate forgot about the incident until a few months later, when a strange bloke turned up at his house to interview him about his extra - terestrial encounter for the book he was writing! Graham's still a lying sod. posted by Bosh lad |

Re the Dyfed UFO,the nearby oil refinery had silver-suits as seen at the time, and a couple of hoaxers have admitted their part in keeping the jolly jape going, but ave a look at the Nick Pope article and a couple of witnesses to the flying objects, not that easy to explain. The Coombs family and the Ripperston Farm wierdness could do with annuver look.I myself have seen strange stuff on occasion, usually on a Friday coming home from the Goat and Compasses.! posted by ruined |
