..it's down to patterns, they cant predict the future but people follow patterns in life and someone saying "you will meet a new person" or "i see money is important at the moment" you can see that odds are someone will think it's relating to them the same way meeting someone and money relate to 80% of the planet that day White laugh

Now THAT is a cheap trick indeed. But I don't think zodiac books do that.

Try get a good zodiac book and read a character description of NOT your birth sign. If you have most time the feeling that ANY of these character descriptions apply to you, then it is obviously a bad zodiac book, where they really try to fool people with some general descriptions.

An example

To give you an example of a very SPECIFIC characterization: I had an Aries girl-friend.

In the zodiac book (in the chapter "aries women") there was written: They like to wear signal colors (red, bright yellow etc) and "steal" your pyjama. Guess what, she wears such colors and stole my pyjama. She thought I am making this up when I read this to her: "THAT is written there? You are joking"

I tried..

..to learn Tarot once because my partner at the time was into it. She was damn good and a lot of readings she did for people actually happened, she taught me as best she could and gave me a great book that explains a lot but my god, it was hard work! very complicated and detailed. I don't really believe in it but i do think people born at different times of a year have traits corresponding to the months.

i think it's bogus. According to the chinese zodiac, everybody born in the same year as i was (the year of the dragon) are supposed to be strong leaders with assertive personalities. I know some real pussies in my grade, so i don't think that's true at all.

Yeah, Chinese horoscope is a different story.

They actually have horoscopes by DAY and MONTH, too. Not only years. Maybe all 3 kinds together work more exact.

Moreover the "birth sign" is just 1 planet (the sun). There are a lot of different planets (moon, venus, etc) [yes, the sun is called a "planet"]

Moreover, there are mostly 3 types of characters for each sign.

Moreover, females and males differ.

Moreover, it's your _birth_ sign, and not your _current_.

So if you get a crap zodiac book, with 12 chapters and no subdivisions, you may lose "faith". But horoscopes apply, but are "evil" because they can be used to control someone (since you know his character).
