Perhaps I'm rather thick-headed, but I promise I'll laugh if you explain it to me since I'm presuming it's supposed to be funny.. are the crazy people the point of it?

yeah he was very interesting and innovative for his time too -- but some of his creations scared me. i try to appreciate art, i really do but sometimes im just like...BOOOORRRRINNNGGG I don't GET IT...esp when i went to the van gogh museum in holland (i think it was a while ago) i was so uninterested with the whole thing everything just started looking the same. posted by gkiss |

Yeah, you know what scares me about art? The museum security guards, especially the suit-wearing goons in the National Gallery in Washington DC. One time in that place, I took a laminated flyer from one room and left it in the other, and this guard came after me and actually chewed me out about it! Every time I'm in a big gallery like that, I always have a weird compulsion to spit on a famous painting just to see how fast the security guard tackles me!
And you know those guys are just hired thugs; I doubt they could even identify a single painting in that museum! posted by MindSlave |

i know! one time my best friend pam and i were in a museum in montreal and we were talking at a normal tone and one of the guards came in and told us to be quiet! hes like: "s'il te plait mesdames, arreter de parler a haute voix! c'est une museé" and we were like... ooook? what are we gunna do talk the paint off the canvas? why do we have to whisper? so we went into this other room and yelled BORING! and ran out lol! and this was last year too not when we were kids! such tight asses eh?
