New forum function: Your avatar (= the pic besides your post) is sticky now. That means it stays, even if you change your picture in the future. Take for example this post and the next: Both are by the same user (= me) but the avatar differs. Please also check out the list of all avatars at in-my-opinion.org… posted by knn |

In other words: Whenever you upload a new avatar (or choose one from the pre-installed avatars) the pic will stay attached to your post forever. Finally future users will know, what is meant in posts that comment the avatar ("cool new avatar", "scary new avatar"). posted by knn |

Suppose we want to re-use a previously used Avatar, we could re-upload, but is there a more efficient way? posted by Marl64 |

How could the system know whether the avatar is new or reused? Simply upload it. Come one it's just approx 5-10k posted by knn |

knn: How could the system know whether the avatar is new or reused? I was thinking of something like a gallery of previous Avatars. I wasn't sure if the "sticky Avatar feature" referred to a common library or if the Avatar was stored with the post. Just trying to be efficient posted by Marl64 |
