Don't be silly they had to execute a difficult plan and then they waited in the plane for their own death, not one of them chickened out, how can you not see that as courage? Mabye that courage caused bad results but it was still a brave thing to do.

Why do we side with Israel?

That's a complicated question. If you want my opinion, the US has an agenda to democratize the Middle East to insure stability. Israel is one of the few "democracies" in the region - though it is democratic only in the same sense that ancient Athens was...some people are not treated as equally as others.

But there are emotional factors that cause our government to support Israel, including the fact that it controls Jerusalem. Also, there are a lot of rich Jewish people in America who constantly lobby the US government for more and more support of Israel. It sounds anti-Semitic to write that, but in my opinion it's true.

Even when the Americans were holding slaves and slaughtering Native Americans, we were never as destructive to our sphere as the Israelis are to theirs.
