Hendrix was good but it is generally people with a shallow knowledge of guitar playing that say he is/was the best guitarist. He was good at writing songs, perhaps not the best but good. In terms of practicle ability he wasn't anything special, or isn't now days anyway. What are you all judging it on? Ability or the songs they make and how good the songs are?
I'd be tempted to say Steve vai I reckon...
