As you know blood eating is said to be forbidden for Christians. However most Christian denominations don't share this prohibition with their followers, so it's pretty unknown. Jehova's witnesses not only preach this prohibition openly, they also go a few steps further. The whole argumentation can be read here: In the bible only the drinking of blood is forbidden expressly. But the argumentation goes like this:
Here are some quotes. And before you laugh: As a true Christian you should make some serious thoughts before invalidating the following statements: Quote: Consider a man who is told by his doctor that he must abstain from alcohol. Would he be obedient if he quit drinking alcohol but had it put directly into his veins? About blood transfusion: Quote: It may result in the immediate and very temporary prolongation of life, but that at the cost of eternal life for a dedicated Christian. About allowing blood transfusion for one's own child: Quote: They know that if they violate God's law on blood and the child dies in the process, they have endangered that child's opportunity for everlasting life in God's new world. Some experts (as I pointed out, Jehowah's witnesses LOVE to cite experts who support their viewpoint): Quote: Doctor Alonzo Jay Shadman says: "The blood in any person is in reality the person himself. It contains all the peculiarities of the individual from whence it comes... The poisons that produce the impulse to commit suicide, murder, or steal are in the blood."
And Dr. Américo Valério, Brazilian doctor and surgeon for over forty years, agrees. "Moral insanity, sexual perversions, repression, inferiority complexes, petty crimes—these often follow in the wake of blood transfusion," he says. However the Watchtower Society (WTS) changed some of the rules through time: Interesting stuff, too [CLICK HERE TO VIEW THIS PICTURE] [CLICK HERE TO VIEW THIS PICTURE] posted by knn |

Damn these JWs are stupid! I'm sorry if I offend anyone here, but it's the truth. These people have some of the stupidest beliefs I've ever heard. They are completely unfundamented. If these people just did the tiniest effort to use their brains for just a bit they could all see the bullshit they're believing. I can't believe they put their lives and the lives of their children at stake on a simple passage in the bible that isn't well interpreted anyway. And these so called "experts" they quote on their publications should have their license removed for spreading fallacies and contributing to the ignorance of society, that is if they really exist. posted by Echelon |
