»12 nepalese hostages executed«

there were 2 groups involved in the beslan incident...one was a group of chechens and the other was a group of arab al-queda members from outwith chechnya

al-queda and other arab fundamentalists have been supporting the chechens in their fight against russia

they do this not to further the cause of the chechens but merely because it is another excuse to kill non arabs and non muslims

watch the bbc

or

al qaeda beslan

also...the events of the tragedy had 2 separate areas...one in the school itself where the chechens were in control...the other at a house adjacent to the school where heavy fire was reported and later discovered to be al qaeda members who helped plan and execute the attacks

Al-Qaeda in Beslan

Quote:
Ties between Chechen radicals and al-Qaeda stretch back to the first Chechen war of independence (1994-96). A radical element began to develop in the late 1990s. By 1999, when Basayev, a Chechen warlord, invaded Russian territory in Dagestan, prompting a second war, it became clear that Islamic radicals dominated Chechen rebel groups.

Russian media reports that as many as 10 of the attackers were Arab also raise questions about the link with Islamic militant groups.

Quote:
The seizure of hostages in Southern Russia has reportedly been financed by the Chechnya-based cell of al-Qaeda terrorist network.

According to Federal Special Services' reports, one of the most zealous "jihad" ideologists Abu Mora as-Seif, an al-Qaeda follower, has financed the terrorists who held hostage hundreds of men, women and children in the town of Beslan.

BUT: I don't really trust that all. Most probably this is information fed by Russian ministries, and they are interested in linking our terroristic attacks with international terrorism.

Exactly.

Moreover, what does "ties" mean?
