 im sorry if this sounds racist because its not meant too but black pride in many of its forms gets right on my tits for instance...i was watching a programme last night that looked into the possibility that cleopatra may have been a black woman a class of students were discussing it and were asked the question..."if cleopatra was black...what effect does it have on history" a young black man replied with a question..."academically or personally" and was told academically he answered that it would make no difference as it was her actions in history that defined her...he then said his personal opinion was that he would be proud to have her in his lineage what utter racist crap is that can i say im proud of isambard kingdom brunnel ♣ or julias ceaser ♣ simply because they are white...i would be locked up most likely if i did another aspect of it that annoys me is the constant referal by black people to black role models as "strong independant black man/women" this is accepted but is completely unneccessary...so what of their skin tone...why make an issue of it if their actions have risen above it... why the constant need to say that peoples skin tone shouldnt matter yet constantly refer to it with regards to their own colour and in general "black pride" is considered in society as an acceptable and noble cause...yet "white pride" is considered utterly racist...some say that white people have allowed the term to be hijacked by prejudiced groups but its even got to the extent in britain where a review of government considered the union jack as a racist symbol... i am on the verge of losing all hope...i really am posted by the anomaly |

 you think its bad there...in the US if you look at a black person wrong you could be thought to be racist. 1 in every 3 black teen males is in prison or has been to prison in the US...it bothers me. if black people don't want to be accused or racially profiled then good lord change your life posted by Agent Zero |

 ..this gets my goat too, in america black people call themselves African-americans, what the hell is this crap, you're a human being so stop being racists and giving yourselves these stupid tags. I feel blacks had a rough deal for many years but now equality is upon them they always resort to the race card when they don't get their own way. "john, i'm sorry but you're fired" "What? you racist scum, it's cause i'm black ain't it!" "no you tool, it's because you are shit at you're job!" Also whats the deal with the MOBO awards? i mean, if we had the MOWO awards then the black comunity would be up in arms but nooo, cause it's an award ceremony for 'african-americans' it's ok. Double standards methinks

but if the goal of the politicians...the one they keep bleating out...concerning intergration and multi cultural society then these kind of things only serve to do the opposite if an assosiation can say..."you are not a member because you are not the right colour" it is utterly racist there are very few examples where discrimination should rightfully exist...one that comes to mind is discrimination against men for the occupation of rape counseller on the one hand we have mens club being forced to allow women in which abolishes's hundreds of years of tradition in some cases...and it is in the name of stopping discrimination then on the other hand we have muslim and jewish only schools throughout the country...we have just(in britain) been given the first muslim only bank where by interest is not paid on loans and mortgages because it is against the islamic faith...so in essence it discriminates against non muslim on a financial level and why are ethnic and sexual minorities vastly over represented in the media...is it some sort of method to force through an acceptance and isolate people who for whatever reason have grudges and misgivings about other faiths and behaviours just this week the metropolitan police announced a report that stated in order to have more black and asian officers...a fixed number of positions must be made for them...thus discriminating for what could potentially be thousands of jobs...against white applicants the met has been accused in the past of institutional racism...this is the proof of those allegations...and it seems it is NOT against black people but against white people it seems in order to cater for the minorities...that the views and beliefs of the majority are being shunned as discriminatory anyone who questions this is branded by the goverment as "little englaners" and xenophobic scum it is clear to me that these measures are simply causing tension in society for instance...there are areas in britain where a single colour is dominant...the next neighbourhood is a different colour...topped with poverty and low employment...the blame game begins...accusations of "they come over here and steal our jobs"...and "they deliberately give us low paid work" fuels tension and resentment and in 4 cases in britain have erupted into violent clashes involving hundreds of people...murders occur and the segregation is stronger that ever before. all this from a misguided attempt at trying to give minorities there own miny society...essentially cutting them off from britain and british people it is my belief that if the intergration was better managed from the start then there would be less hate between different groups and there would be no need for damaging institutions like the nation of islam and political partys such as the british national party would never have gotten a foothold in councils in the north of england with which to springboard candidates into the up coming general election these kind of places feed a demand for a voice from alienated people...if we didn't alienate these people then the demand would disapear and so would the supply of racist proaganda this has been a long post and is perhaps a little optimistic and idealistic...but it is never the less true... every kind of segregation no matter how lawful and institutionalised such as a black police officers assosiation...only serves to perpetuate animosity between cultures someone said it better that me britain is indeed multi cultural...but it is not a mixed culture... posted by the anomaly |

No joke, there has been a guy sueing one company after the other because they advertised for women and not for men (in typical female's jobs) For example if he found an ad "We are looking for a stewardess" then he sued that company because they didn't look equally for a steward. No, he didn't sue them that he didn't got a job. Just for the ad wording, since sexistic ads are fobidden. So he sued hair saloons (looking for females) and a women's monastery! posted by knn |

Black Pride, Affermative action, the whole lot - Institutionalised Racism. Speaking as a UK Born, single, able bodied, non religious, white, anglo saxon, hetrosexual male with no dependants and a clean criminal record... Where's my Focus Group?
