»Memento«

Awesome band. Their style goes along that of melodic hard rock, if you know what I mean. I like to think of them as a more poppish more accesible Tool. Their lyrics are somehow alike. Similar to Breaking Benjamin. They released a record quite some time ago (2000) called "Beginnings" which is a very good album. Standout tracks for me are "Nothing Sacred", "Blister", "Stare", "Saviour", and "Below".

This band is as about as close to Tool as Limp Bizkit.

You obviously being a hardcore Tool fan, won't see this but it's true. Listen to their somewhat heretical lyrics, both Memento and Tool use them. Also, Memento's lead singer tries to sound like Maynard James Keenan sometimes. Of course they lack that mystique that Tool has and the genius in composing music that no other band has. That's why I said they're more poppish and accesible. 3Tooth
