Do you mean "This Is Only A Test" by Pennywise from the CD "From the Ashes". Listen in here: I wonder why Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk don't have any samples. The lyrics: pennywise emergency test lyrics ♣ posted by knn |

...Pennywise is a punk rock band, pretty much like The Offspring. Our friend The ONEder Man is looking for a techno/electronica song. Do you know any other part of the lyrics ONEder Man? If there's any. posted by Echelon |

..it's OvalProcess from their album Oval Then again it's quite a new album so most likely not your song if it is indeed 8 years old. Ovalprocess do use that sample though. posted by Crossfade |

After doing some research i have sort of come to the conclusion it's a remix of 'Two tribes' by Frankie on the Trance Nation 4 compilation, it came out around 95 so the time frame fits. Hope that helps mate posted by Crossfade |

Quote: Do you know any other part of the lyrics ONEder Man? If there's any. no other lyrics, just a sample that says that exact phrase several times during the song but i believe it starts out with that... seeing as i don't know the exact genre and i'm not really sure about all the different names for them house/techno/trance/triphop i would have to say house isnt' that harder beats and not so smooth flowing as say trance would be? i'd go with house or techno if i had to guess, i'm just stating this because that compilation you speak of says "trance" in the title... come to think of it the last time i did hear the song was at a party and was on a compilation cd... don don don don DON DON, don don don don DON, don don don don DON DON, din din din din DON repeat and throw in some stadium chant hey's inbetween...fuck it's hopeless! ahh! Glad you found your song! I absolutely hate it when I hear a good song and have absolutely no idea what's it called or who's behind it. It's happened a lot of times before, for example with a song by Liquido called "Narcotic". It haunted me for years until I saw the video on some German channel and finally downloaded it. posted by Echelon |

For years I've been searching the internet for the title and author of the song which contain the words "this is a test for the emergency broadcast system..." - which hit our country like a storm when I was still in college. The song was a favorite intro of one of the local radio station DJ in our community and he will always play that music everyday at exactly 5 a.m.;he did that for 5-6 months. The song was my "alarm clock" as well as my "exercise warm up" tune. I didn't bother to ask for the name of the singer or what the song title was until it was taken off the charts and was forgotten by everyone. I always end up with "pennywise music" and was frustrated like you. But I've found the answer because you cared to ask and you posted it online. Thank you for asking and thank you to the people who helped you. posted by DOCTOR_C |
