this was on the news yesterday here in the UK and pretty much sums up how utterly ridiculous our nanny state is becoming

its argued that it is a reaction to the increasing US style compensation culture that is fueled by the fact that every second ad on tv is for a damages claims company

it would be laughable if it werent becoming so ingrained in all aspects of life in the UK

school trips and sports days being cancelled because teachers don't want to be responsible for a child falling over as they will end up in court fighting for their careers and life savings

so this school has even gone as far as making children wear lab style safety goggles while playing conkers ♣(chesnuts on string)

another issue of its type was that many councils are banning punch and judy ♣ shows which have been tradition at british seaside resorts for decades because womens groups have complained that they are violent and mysoginistic

its getting out of hand

..read about this yesterday and was gobsmacked, how this country is crumbling so quickly is amazing.
Humanity has raised children for thousands of years and now we have politicaly correct do-gooders telling us how to raise and treat children? bullshit! These sandal wearing hippies need to be locked in a cage with a lion...oh but wait, some left wing animal rights group will harrass us for cruelty to the lion What? When? Where? Why?

i'm glad i'm not the only one this pisses off. that sounds like the so called controversy a few years back here about dodgeball (you guys know this right?) being too dangerous at p.e. class in school. wha? that was the funnest game we had!

another thing i remember when i was a kid getting spanked by the principal in elementary school, not now...we have time out Not again
