If I were a bookie

Then I'd give even money on both candidates.

However, payout may be adjusted to suit seasonal trends** and could be witheld and all bets non-refundable in the event...

- The winning candidate does not achieve a clear majority*
- The losing candidate files any form of objection to the proceedings
- The supreme court is required to intervene
- God is required to intervene
- Either candidate is subject to investigation, not limited to the election process
- Too many of the wrong kind of people vote
• Clear majority is defined as, but not limited to, a majority we feel is unattainable at the time the bet is placed. This is of course subject to change, at our discretion

** Seasonal trends as defined by number of registered voters at the time of the election in relation to the number when the bet was placed. Any difference would be calculated as a %age change and deducted from the winnings.

Inauguration January

Just a quick reminder: This poll is not over until January 2005. Bush is still the current president, not the next.
