The ONEder Man:
...when is blair due for election time?

We don't get to choose him directly.

The election is next year some time

We vote for the party (or more precisely we vote for our local representative of the party), the party with the most elected representatives gets power. The leader of the winning party becomes the Prime Minister and will stay until they quit, are challenged or there is another election.

Difficult to say, the U.S. does everything bigger and bolder, but it's a much larger country.

Ours do their share of dirt digging but it doesn't seem as intense because they do it between elections too. White laugh

In fact all our parliament ever seems to do is complain about the opposing party all the time.

If you get a chance, you should watch it sometime, they're like children, they literally Bleat at each other - you know "Baaaah!" like what sheep do White laugh

With fatter Michael Moores White laugh

Maybe Blair is dirtier than known. They looked like in a henhouse, after Michael Moore made a joke, that after Fahrenheit 9/11 Blair is next on his list...

The uk elections always seems so stacked in favour of the party in power, not only must the oposing party cross the finish line first to win, they must do it so far ahead they actually travel to the future White laugh

the british election campaigning is utterly rubbish...

the parties never put forward their own manifesto

the perfect example being the billboards from a previous election

the labour party board said only..."same old tories same old lies" and the tory boards said "new labour new danger"

all the party political broadcasts on tv do is try and smear the other parties..."they will tax you more...they will close hospitals...they wont look after your granny...blah blah blah"

its really quite pathetic

the party leaders also like to slag each other off across the house of commons with regards to highlighting each others past

i suppose its different in britain because you are essentially voting not for a leader of a country...but for your own local mamber of parliment...and the party with the most members of parliment at the end of the election gets to form the government for the next 4-5 years

as for when our next election is...may next year
