knn: The US is already considered by some as a non-democratic country (as you can see by the fact that only rich and related candidates become presidents and that there is only 1 party basically) and the electoral vote makes it even less democratic. anyone who claims there is no difference between democrats and republicans is either not paying attention or so far out on the fringe they don't know what direction is up. the fact is, they are incredibly different. are you gonna complain because we don't have a strong communist or nazi party? well boo fucking hoo. if the people actually wanted these things, they could have them. but they don't. I repeat, they do not want communism here. they do not want socialism. they do not want fascism or anarchy. the people have all these options, they just refuse to support them. what is so bad about that? and you know what, most presidents are rich, but they didn't all start that way. many of them started out poor or middle class, and worked their way up. the same skills and talents required to become president lend thesleves quite well to proffessional life. is it any wonder that they tend to be successful? posted by 4thedefender |
