 sherm: spending 3/4 of my weekends at a stupid hotel cheering maniacally for random Asian dudes with names like Johnny Ly, Michael Mo and Dennis Wong, who claim to have SO much money and are talked about like rock stars but really just speak for 3 hours of total boring crap, and the representatives have the fakest enthusiasm possible. And also, chilling with "business partners" who claim to be "my new best friends in the world", even though if they didn't have my money they wouldn't give a shit about me. And all the time, believing I'd "actually make some money" the biggest lie of all. Sounds like a standard MLM recruitment seminar. Usually done in a rented hotel seminar room. The big cars with which the presenters come are usually from rent-a-car. sherm: The stats speak for themselves, over 70% of people who enter IXP do not make a penny! But that's the case anywhere. You have been fooled by your own greed. The problem is: MLM does work, but only for some. Thus if they take 450USD only to get you started then this is basically the only point that is kind of "dirty" (yet not illegal). posted by knn |

 they didn't get me! Mr. Johnny Ly caught me at my job with an offer for a job... Having a kid coming, i took him up, but i did my research. I read all of the message boards (approx. 260) in which people all said the same thing. Oh yeah? I can make $3000 a week? And he's expanding to NJ, and I am the first person he talked to in the area, showing his rolex(fake), his platnum and diamond ring (looked fake). Almost convincing, but his schedule book was open, and there were maybe 15-20 other people my name.  first person? Worst part was that he knew today would have been my mother's birthday and he played it off as a "blessing in disguise" and "a chance to make her dreams come true" TACKY. Anyone in the NJ/CT/NY/MA/NH area...keep an eye out. After all, if you shell out $300, and everything works perfect, you have enough to maybe buy a pair of shoes. I don't think IXP is a scam...BUT... IXP's main income is from getting new members. Each member pays his fee. This will generate an income for the referer. But can a referer really get a major income by earning comissions from the e-commerce/internet sales his new recruits do? IXP doesn't offer a good product. Common! Be honest with yourselves! Do you really think they offer a wonderful product? Their products don't stand out from the croud. I beleive IXP active members know the products suck. So, they mainly focus on new members and that's why they keep doing meetings and recruiting people. I don't think there's anythin illegal in this scheme. But... If I become a member, my referer will earn a commission. In fact, I would just have commited a really stupid mistake. So, to get my money back, I will have to recruit a few members. This means I will have to convince some more innocent soul's seeking for an easy money making opportunity. Once I get those innocent souls into the dragon's lair, it will be their turn to try to get new members to be able to get their money back! As you see...THIS IS JUST A DAMN CHAIN OF GETTING RIPPED OFF AND RIPPING SOMEONE ELSE TO RECOVER YOUR MONEY! The sad thing is that very few will really try to get new members to win their money back. Many will fail because in order to convince someone you need to be really deceptive. You would really need to promiss the stars and the sky to get new members. Yes, I know some people are really good at this and it doesn't even bother a little their consciences. But at least me and many others wouln't, because deep down inside we know we would be ripping off others. Yes, some people get considerable incomes. But the people that do are the ones that will promiss the stars and the sky to you, this guys are the ones that don't have a concience and that are just thinking of getting your money. So, Is this illegal? I DON'T THINK IT IS. They don't point a gun to you to become a member. If you became a member and thought after becoming one that you got ripped off...well, you didn't, but you were just stupid enough to believe them and think you would become Bill Gates. This is what I call a LAPSUS STUPIDUS! I do think it should be illegal to make you beleive during the conferences that IXP is heaven. But of course, doesn't any business say wonderful things about their products and services? would you say your product or service is not really good? Of course not, unless your the most stupid sales guy or business manager on earth. So if YOU are thinking of joining IXP, think this before: DO YOU REALLY THINK YOU WILL BE ABLE TO GET ALL YOUR FRIENDS, FAMILY AND OTHERS TO JOIN IXP SO THAT YOU CAN GET THE BIG BUCKS? Will you feel good of bringing your mon, dad, brothers, sisters and girlfriend to IXP? WOULDN'T YOU BE ASHAMED? So, if you don't care what you need to do to get money, then this might be for you. If you are a decent and ethical guy (like me ) then this probably won't work for you.
