 Did anyone in the uk see that documentary about the shooting a few months back and how they proved that Oswald did it by himself? it was a great programe and shows how much Oliver Stones film has distorted people's perception of what happened. Maybe someone put Oswald up to it but he deffo did the shooting by himself. posted by Crossfade |

The guy infront of the prez wasnt at the same hight, his seat was way lower so the bullet never exited Kennedy and changed direction upwards. They did a cool simulation of all the bullet angles and when taking into account of everyone's position in the car with the Abraham Zapruder footage, all the bullet wounds all lined up perfectly with the window Oswald was shooting from. The grassy knoll guy never existed as the only evidence for him was the sound of a shot. It was an echo. don't remember the guy with the umbrella, remind me of that mate. posted by Crossfade |

Crossfade: don't remember the guy with the umbrella, remind me of that mate. Apparantly on a bright sunny day there was a guy wearing a long coat and carrying an umbrella at the side of the road. Moments before the event he either closed it or opened, fluffed it or waved it or something. One of the documentaries made a big deal out of it 'cos apparantly it was in the footage one minute then it wasn't. some guy on a conspiracy board: "I believe that jfk was shot by a gun man on either the grassy knoll or dealy plaza. oswald was indeed a patsy, as he said. and the umbrella man signaled everyone." posted by Marl64 |

I wish i had recorded the programe now as i don't remember anything about the umbrella guy in it. Curse my memory. It was on BBC2 i believe so i hope they have some archive of it, maybe download it from somewhere. posted by Crossfade |

I came across two different theories which could both be true! Wrong Target Oswald did it, but he wasn't shooting at JFK, he was shooting at the governor of Texas, with whom he had a grudge. He was just a bad shot. The thing is, maybe he was set up for that, while others were also shooting. LBJ is Responsible LBJ was behind it, because he had a shadey past, and certain business deals of his were about to be exposed, which he could quash if he were President. I like this scenario, because in classic "who dun it" one of the the things that's always asked is "Who benefits?" LBJ was the big beneficiary of JFK's death. posted by LauraS |

 Considering that major evidence is still missing (the brain of JFK suddenly disappeared) this case is far from over. And considering that some of the mafor CIA players (George Bush was working in the CIA then) are still alive there might be some surprises to come out yet. posted by knn |

 I will always stand by my belief that JFK was shot by a CIA-funded faction to allow the war in Vietnam. JFK was vastly opposed to U.S. intervention while many right-wing and military groups thought it was pertinent that we be there. LBJ was one of these people. posted by GP |
