Both. The broken bone didn't hurt that much, but when you're trying to catch passes with a dislocated pinky...not fun. posted by GP |

the anomaly: paulo diogo celebrated a goal by leaping over a fence into the crowd I guess that's not quite a sporting injury then... posted by nocturnal_anonymous |

sangu: still played, Gpieter? wow. good 4 u. my coach would never allow me. it sucks looking on from the bench I grew up in a small town where sports is the driving force of the town, unfortunately. I also was an all-conference receiver, so the coaching staff felt that I needed to be out there to help my team win (morons). However, it was not all their fault. I made the decision to go back out on the field. My finger hurt but not to the point where I felt I needed to sit. It's good to see you have a coach that's putting your health above the team's performance. posted by GP |

GPieters: It's good to see you have a coach that's putting your health above the team's performance. She still has to go to basketball games even though she can't play. She just sits and watches. This is not a damage to her health, and I can say that she watches most willingly, but it's such a waste of time! posted by nocturnal_anonymous |

She's still part of the team, though. When you're hurt, that doesn't mean you're no longer part of the team. You aren't contributing in the sense that you're not on the field, floor, etc. but you can still help the team w/encouragement and being another set of eyes to help the team see things they can't. posted by GP |

I know it's tough right now riding the pine and being forced to watch from the bench, but try to use your injury as a positive. Look for things that others are doing (or aren't doing) and then use that knowledge when you get back to be a better baller. Good luck! posted by GP |

Look for things that others are doing (or aren't doing) and then use that knowledge when you get back to be a better baller. Good luck! Also throw big metallic chairs at the oppositions legs! I used to play Basketball (cus I'm 6'3), gave it up though, height really doesn't have much to do with it when you lack skill! Apparently I was pretty good, but when I stopped playing for a month, I went back to it and just couldn't play aswell, got discouraged and started playing soccer! It's a brilliant game, we Australians are barely into it though, we watch a little thing called A.F.L.! Good advice from GPieters! posted by hungarian kid |

hungarian kid: Also throw big metallic chairs at the oppositions legs! You always have the best advice, HK. Weren't you the one that told me to bash my sister with a bag of oranges? Sangu can't do that; her arm is in a sling because when she moves her arm, it moves her collarbone. hungarian kid: started playing soccer! It's a brilliant game Yes it is! I like soccer too ...wait, is there a difference between American soccer and Australian soccer? Or is the difference only in football? I'm confused. posted by nocturnal_anonymous |
