If your not going to respect the amendments because they were added after the constitution, do you respect the amendments that give women the right to vote or civil rights to african americans? Michael Moore does indeed hate the people running America, he works for the less privelaged, look at some of his work and his writings, or you could just go on being ignorant to what he does.  HK is dead on w/this. I think that Moore makes these movies because he loves America. I think he sees problems w/the direction the country is going in and makes these movies to bring about change. If that's the case, then you can't argue his grounds because it's every Americans right to believe what they want. posted by GP |

Actually, if Michael Moore's intention was to protect America, one would think that he'd go about making his movies using ethical standards for the production of those movies...like not lying. Unfortunately, for those who agree with his misled views, Michael Moore has been shown to have completely made up entire conversations in movies such as "Rofer and Me" and "Bowling for Columbine."  While Moore's "editing techniques" may be an accepted practice in the industry of filmmaking they most certainly don't qualify his movies as documentaries. Neither do the completely fabricated conversations. It makes no sense to try to "defend" the little man by telling lies and manipulating recorded interviews. If his ideas were valid one would think that the truth would suffice for their defense. If we are supposed to believe, let alone respect, Michael Moore for his "fact findings" we must first be able to be convinced that they are indeed facts. So far he has really made me mad because America has "asked no questions" and simply accepted his views as facts. He is nothing more than a talented filmmaker and not the lover of truth that he claims to be. While his movies may entertain us we should not hold them up as any sort of standard by which we are influenced in our politics.
