Merovingian: Don't you love the French language? I have sampled every language, French is my favorite. Fantastic language. Especially to curse with. Nom de dieu de putain de bordel de merde de saloperie de connard d'enculé de ta mère. It's like wiping your ass with silk, I love it.

White laugh Thumb Up Evil evil

A lot of people in school think I'm a freak for taking French, since the language is very rarely used in Southern CA, especially opposed to what everyone else is taking...Spanish. Spanish is more useful since there's so many Spanish-speaking people inside Southern California (borders Mexico). So what...French is cooler. Cool

German's great, I'm learning French now and really it's just like any other latin language. Germans the best of the lot! WEITER WEITER, INS VERDERBEN!

If German didn't exist, I'd probably choose Mandarin ( there's alot of different Chinese languages Pawny!) Aaah, is there anything better than to post here and to drink something

And if you choose chinese you would know all the different types. Besides, aren't there only two differnet types? Mandarin chinese and the other chinese which I cant remember the name of.

The language I would most want to be able to speak and write fluently has to be German. It's the cooles language in ze worlz. But If I could learn one language in a day I would choose latin. and then I could just go to germany for a year as an intern and learn german that way. Everybody wins.

Well there's alot of different chinese languages, those are just the main ones! Cantonese being spoken in the Hong Kong area and Mandarin being spoken through out China as either a first or second language.
I've got two chinese friends, both fluent in Mandarin, the one from the South also speaks Cantonese and the one from the north also speaks Shianese!

What is the same however is the WRITTEN language (= the Chinese characters). In other words: You go to a Chinese cinema and then you watch a Chinese-spoken movie (Cantonese) with Chinese subtitles (for everyone Chinese who cannot speak Cantonese)
