I imagine he wanted to kill all the bourgeosie, the Marxist term for the capitalists in both upper and middle class (in absence of aristocracy as is the case in much of the Americas). He was just another nut in world history. Fortunately he did not get the chance to put his insane thoughts into action like Hitler, Castro, Charles Manson, Sadam, a multitude of religious whackos or any other super-salesmen that sold bullshit to "openminded people". His photo made for a good t-shirt. He stands for rebellion to a bunch of undereducated, naive people that don't like their government (they are not quite sure why) and like to think they are hipper than hip.
