 But I think people have raped him into some sort of popular culture icon, and that's what pisses me off. I can't count the times I've had this kind of conversation with some preppy girl/guy wearing a Che Guevara shirt: Me: Hey, that's a cool guy on your shirt. Them: Yeah, man, he's such an inspiration for me. Me: How so? Them: a) Well, duh, dude! He saved (insert any country except Cuba) from the Nazis/capitalists/etc.! b) Uhhh...I don't know, he just is! I'm so revolutionary, dude! Pisses the hell out of me.

That picture (the t-shirt one) is heavily retouched. I saw the original picture in a book on Castro and it is terrible. He looks like a fat slob drug dealer hippie who never takes a shower. Personally, I can't stand the cult of that crazy SOB. He helped establish Castro in Cuba and gave us all of our reactionary Cuban Republicans like Senator Mel Martinez ♣ in Florida. These people have achieved more than they ever could have in their homeland, yet they have absolutely zero respect for our traditions or Constitution. Thanks partially to them, Florida, traditionally a Democratic state, has a Bush brother for governor and possibly the next president. posted by holy_of_holies |

 Che was was a mass murderer. Although he spoke the double-talk of communism he was really a fascist. (where hitler said kill the "Jews" che said kill the "Middle Class") so basically if you have enough money to own a personal computer and post on this blog Che would have wanted to see you dead. here's a quote from him- "Hatred as an element of struggle; unbending hatred for the enemy, which pushes a human being beyond his natural limitations, making him into an effective, violent, selective, and cold-blooded killing machine. This is what our soldiers must become."-Che Guevara. He organized death squads and slave labor camps in communist cuba (where they harshly and especially persecuted Gays and AIDS victims in addition to normal folks) He was killed in Bolivia in 1967 by the CIA (Three Cheers for the much-maligned CIA!   ), leading a guerrilla insurgency that had failed to enlist a single Bolivian peasant.
