»Why I like Bush and think the Iraq war was OK«

i cant even begin to tell you how many beers and shots im owed from people because bush won

they all thought because he is unpopular to them...and they all think they are "normal" that somehow everyone thinks like they do

a friend of mine called mark said that in all his travels(a lot as he is a volounteer worker for international charities) has never met anyone who likes bush...i said "that's because you go to gay bars" White laugh ...seriously though...i said "you have now...me"

he was genuinly shocked about it

I'm shocked too. I thought you were just playing devil's advocate. Why the hell are you a Bush fan? You certainly don't like Blair and Blair is Bush's closest ally! :s

Maybe because Bush is the fastest way for the final subconscious wish: Death in an atomic bright flash, our orgasmic goal.

because he doesnt shift with the political tide unlike most other politicians...he has a moral backbone and he does what he believes he must do to remove people like saddam hussein from positions in which they can perpetrate their sadist fantasies on helpless people

he doesnt bury his head in the sand or cowers away from dealing with people like al qaeda...he takes them head on

for me...i see no alternative workable way...

and despite all the arguments against the war and the way it is being fought...not one single person has put forward a viable alternative...this is probably due to the fact that these pacafists know that what they are proposing is to strike deals with islamic terror groups...and they know that to proclaim this idea in public would be political suicide...thus proving that saving their own necks is more important that their political standpoint...making them spineless whinging weasels that don't deserve any degree of power

The alternative? Attack Iran, not Iraq.

And what has this to do with Iraq? Iraq was not Islamistic, Saddam even refused to work together with Al-Qaeda.

it may be of news to you...but al qaeda is not the worlds terrorism in one group

hence the war on al qaeda is not the entire war on terror...and as well all know...saddam has a history of funding and rewarding hamas and islamic jihad as well as the palastinian intifada which has resulted in the death of both american and british citizens

why not both? if iran doesn't comply, isn't it only fair to impose 10 years of sanctions on them as well before invading? Cool

No one has given any alternative.

I HAVE! You obviously didn't notice so I'll say it again.

Just as recap. America didn't see WMDs as the reason to invade Iraq and didn't use it as such until Blair (may he rot in hell) decided that it was a valid reason.

Second recap. America's main reason for going into war (if not their ONLY reason) was to stop Al Quiaeda. Even though Iraq did not back Al Quiaeda any more than anyone else (presuming they backed them at all, which seems doubtful). Osama wasn't hiding in Iraq and neither were any of his lackeys.

My alternative suggestion was as follows. Leave out all the bullshit about WMDs and Al Quiaeda. Bush should have TOLD US what he wanted to do like this:
"We intend to liberate the Iraqi people from a savage dictator."

EVEN MICHAEL MOORE DIDN'T THINK SADDAM SHOULD BE LEFT IN POWER! Otherwise how could he make the hilarious comment: "How is Bush losing a popularity contest with Saddam Hussein?"

Saddam was an evil bastard and we all knew it. But I'm sorry but when this is put on the back burner in comparison to lies, I start to doubt the honesty. I start to think they're hiding something. What were they hiding? Capitalist plans involving oil! AND FUCKING BLATANTLY TOO!

I'm sorry but they are playing you for a fool. If they gave a shit about the Iraqi people they'd have said so straight away. It would have been their main reason for going in, and the American soldiers wouldn't have "Kill 'em all!" written on their helmets...

Bush's personal agenda

Look, if the house is burning and you drive with your fire engine to put the fire out then you don't stop to at a barking dog.

Saddam was a barking dog. Ugly, but weak. Not the main threat.

Bush didn't start the war because he had to, but because he could.

You know that after a heavy shock/loss you are receptive to hypnosis and manipulation. Bush used that 9/11 shock to push forward his personal agenda.

the way the opposition to the war in iraq works is this

they and everyone agrees that saddam should not have been in power...they all knew about the things he did to his own people...they were all aware of his perversion of the oil for food programme(with a little help from his french and russian friends)
they all knew that very little of the traded oil went to food for his people...instead they went to building palaces for him and his sons

they all knew about the torture chambers and killing fields and ethnic cleasnsing

all these things were a good enough idea to go into bosnia

but when the same thing was proposed over iraq then the liberals wanted to wipe their hands of the situation

calls of "not our problem" rang out throughout the political left

so personally i find it rather fitting that bush had the genius to trick the so called inteligent left thinkers into backing him in order to fulfill his "own agenda"...which was to rid the world of saddam hussein

because otherwise he would still be in power and his liberal western buddies would still be doing backhander deals with him while his republican guard are shooting 2 year old children being held in their mothers arms
