Quote: McGregor has odds of 9/4 for getting the role while Scott is just behind with 9/2 odds, William Hill said.
Bookmakers said Jude Law was lower at 10/1 after his recent film Alfie did not perform as well at the box office as had been expected. Alexander star Colin Farrell has odds of 7/1 while MP Boris Johnson is 500/1. British actor Clive Owen is also in the running at 6/1, while Lord of the Rings star Orlando Bloom shared Law's odds of 10/1. Rubbish, Boris Johnson is made for the role posted by Crossfade |

If McGregor gets the role he is one of the greatest and most talented actors ever. Star War, Trainspotting, Big Fish, James Bond... posted by knn |

Big Fish - crap Star Wars prequels - crap Ewan MacGregor is only good in movies where he plays the underdog: Trainspotting Shallow Grave He is simply NOT a James Bond. Still what do I care. The James Bond movies are crap anyway. The first James Bond movie I ever enjoyed was Goldeneye. After watching the other ones since, I can honestly say that I don't think that any of the other Bond movies come close. posted by fatpie42 |

Heh, I saw GoldenEye pretty recently and would have to say it's one of the worst movies I have ever seen! Not only was it crap, but it just seemed to try and get in as many explosions as possible, and the SFX for explosions was crap! It was like playing CS it was for crap, just cut into me! Don't know about Ewan Mcgreggor being the next bond, it could work though! posted by hungarian kid |
