 That's pretty good. And yes, Halo 2 is that awesome...beat it Friday.

They clearly put have their effort into xbox live but it shouldn't have come at the expense of a long detailed campaign mode... posted by volonteshiva |

 Halo 1 was pretty fucking long but veeeery repetitive in some levels! Eventually everything started looking the same, they said they were gonna eliminate the repetitivity which would slice game time down a considerable deal! I still havn't played halo 2!

Yeah, I noticed that H2 was a lot shorter than Halo, but to be honest, I didn't mind. HK is right that many of the levels in Halo got repetitive (cough, LIBRARY, cough) and you could tell that Bungie tried to address that. I wasn't too huge on playing as Covenant at first...until I met the Fuel Rod Cannon! Oh my, what a weapon. A true peacemaker...and by that I mean, you shoot...everbody is gone but you...there is peace.

Yeah, but removing repetitive levels doesn't mean they can't add more content to give us at least 20hrs of gameplay. I mean most final fantasy games give you 60+hrs. Although on the flip side, playing through it on normal, heroic and legendary adds up the hrs... GPieters: I wasn't too huge on playing as Covenant at first...until I met the Fuel Rod Cannon! The later levels in the Covenant city. I think you get to use on the final level w/Chief but I specifically remember using it against the Brutes near the end. posted by GP |

 just got it yesterday and beat it this morning! yeah hows that for short...i played it for like maybe 9 hours maybe and it was over...whens 3 coming out? they sure left the door open...like the matrix reloaded...its obvious. cant wait to finish the fight...hoo raw! it was fun im gonna go up a level and try it on each setting. posted by Agent Zero |

Yeah, Microsoft would have a lot of lee-way in the console race at the moment, they'd wanna bring out a sequel to X-Box as soon as possible! Which I hate cus you finally can afford what you thought was the best console then they same company makes a new one! 
It IS all about gaming for me, but then they release games you really want on the consoles you cant afford!
My Xbox is gone so I won't be playing Halo 2 for a long time!

Try Halo 2 on Legendary. You definitely won't beat it in 9 hours! I haven't even been able to get past the 1st/2nd main level where the covenant are infiltrating the space station you are on. You have to go up against like 7 elites at a time and they just keep coming. You run out of ammo before you kill more than 3 or so. Very rough. Much harder than Legendary in Halo, I beat that 2x. Once coop on xbox, another time solo on PC. Plus they changed the setting for coop on legendary in Halo 2. Back in Halo 1, when one person died, the other could continue and the dead person would respawn. In H2 on Legendary, when one dies, it resets both players to last checkpoint. Very rough. However, in levels below Legendary the respawning works like in Halo 1. Just another way to make Legendary LEGENDARY! posted by volonteshiva |

Well, in order to make the release deadline in Nov for Halo 2, they had to cut the third act of the story which would have wrapped up Halo 2 ALOT better.
