»Anime film i'm trying to find«


A guy is trying to remember an anime film he watched a while ago,says it's pretty old, he cant remember the name but here's his description...
"I can only vaguely remember the plot, Something about a group of people held below the surface and forced to mine, when one of them finds a sword. He uses the sword to escape and finds the blade dissappears. He's then tracked accross the surface but finds help from a very angry guy with a ship which has a computer called Alpha... That's all I can remember."
Also
"The sword they found was no good untill he realised that it only worked on the robots. Humans were enslaved by robots working in mines for resources when the main character found a fabled blade. One that could only be used on the robots."

Any ideas?
