"Conflicting IP"? How do you host it? On your home PC? Or on some server? posted by knn |

Yes, but what do you mean by "host a game"? On your PC at home or on some server far away? And what does the error say? posted by knn |

Sounds like you are trying to run a LAN game instead of a net game posted by Crossfade |

Well I can't host lan and for some reason by Lan no one can access my shared files but I can access all theres! And on gamespy if I try to host a game I get the message - Proxy of Firewall Detected. GameSpy Arcade has detected that your computer's internal IP address (192.168.0.2) is different than its external IP address (220.240.106.247). This may be caused by firewalls, a NAT proxies, or other unusual network configurations and may prevent you from hosting a game. Please see how firewall guide etc. posted by hungarian kid |

Let me tell you that network problems are some of the nastiest and sometimes unsolvable. Is your computer online (= directly connected with the internet = is the modem directly connected with your PC)? OR: Are you LAN connected with another PC that is online? If the second thing is the case, your problem might be unsolvable. If the first thing is the case, then your only problem is a proxy and that is usually solvable. posted by knn |

Do you actually know what your real IP address is? If not visit this site and see for yourself checkip.dyndns.org Next, find out what is the address of the proxy server that's giving you crap. You might want to configure your game to that IP. posted by Echelon |
