 i think its sad that patriotism has now been twisted by lefties into racism and facism... im Scottish and im proud of it...im British and im proud of... i get pissed off at my country for the huge numbers of asylum seekers that have no legitimate reason to be here...but i have no problems with those who genuinly are running from certain death i hate the fact that the british government release figures which say that asylum numbers are down...how did they do it...they told police no to arrest anyone who is here illegaly because as soon as they are arrested then they claim asylum and go onto the figures...the result is a bunch of chinese cockle picker who work for pitance money while being crammed into a tiny house in liverpool and who drown when the tide comes in cause the police were told to turn a blind eye to the black market in cockles(shell fish) i have problems with the left wing anti war media that only serves its own political purpose regardless of the consequenses(fake pictures of torture by british soldiers) i hate the fact that the media ignores the news that doesnt back up its own viewpoints(the shell that was to be used in a terrorist attack against the americans that contained supposedly non existant sarin nerve gas) the biggest problem is that the lefties have an image of being truth loving hippies...they tell as much lies as anyone except it costs more money. example..the scottish socialists want a national minimum of £8 per hour...they intend to pay for it by taxing people the whole lot back again...admin costs go up...people end up with less money i hate the fact that there are now more administrators in the national health service than there are doctoes and nurses due to a lefty government and a compensation culture inherited from america i hate ever increasing powers of the health and safety executive who have introduced or are introducing such laws as all window cleaners must use hydraulic lifts instead of ladders(which puts them out of buisness cause they cant afford them).all pubs with dart boards must have the darts area surrounded by bullet proof glass(at the cost of thousands of pounds to the pub owner).you will get fined £2500 for flying a flag out of your car window as it is a potential hazard for other road users as you can see...i hate alot about my country...cause its crap the end for now posted by the anomaly |

" Hmmm patriotism is about being proud of your nationality. Your entire post is about how much you hate your nation. I think Britain sucks. When Anne Widdecombe originally suggested a kind of camp for asylum seekers to wait to be processed she was criticised for being too right wing. It was instantly compared to a "concentration camp". Since then Labour has had to turn round and consider it. (I believe they have some of these camps set up now actually, at least for children anyway). It's the best idea for how to solve the influx of asylum seekers so far - just goes to show that the conservatives should be running the country. posted by fatpie42 |

that i hate my nation... i do hate alot of what the labour government has done to my country i do hate the fact that we are the work horse of the EU and when all the other countries are having thier siesta we are slaving our guts out and surviving on pre processed sandwiches in order to pump gigantic sums of money into the European black hole...at the same time our fishing fleets are being stripped of their waters and boats only for them to be handed over to our fellow Europeans i hate the fact that spain take out exactly the same amount from the EU (£30,000,000,000) per year as Britain puts in yet you go to their buisness district at lunch time and you cant find a single person doing any work cause their all to busy sleeping yet at the same time its them who are getting the fishing rights being stripped from our own countrymen i hate the fact that the French thought it was thier god given right to blockade their ports which resulted in hundreds of british haulage firms going out of buisness while Blair sat on his ass appeasing the french as always i hate the way labour took on a policy of apologising to every nation we have ever gone to war with(including japan and Germany...for OUR atrocities yet we have had no such apology) i hate the fact that we have by far and away the highest fuel prices in the world(in some parts now £1.04 per LITRE)..that's about £4.50 a gallon which is about $6.80 per gallon i hate the fact that we are taxed to our eyeballs in so many other ways incometax council tax savings tax capital gains tax inheritance tax road tax tv licencse value added tax we have the highest alchohol prices in the world yet at the same time we have closing hospitals...crumbling schools...we are now forced to pay for university education that the people who are now in power and took the desicion to put in place the policy were lucky enough to get for free i hate the fact that i got a 3% pay rise last year yet my houshold bills increased about 13% i hate the fact that most people in britain now earn less in real terms than they did 10 years ago i hate the fact that my country gives asylum and benefits and a free home to members of the taliban despite us still technically being at war with them yet my own cousin was left to rot on the streets until he commited suicide because my local council wouldnt give him a house i hate the fact that we put up with the mad rambling and evil chants of abu hamza for so long and now insist that he shouldnt face the death penalty...i hate the fact that if i did exactly as he did but preached hatred and murder to muslims then i would have been carted off to jail without my feet touching the ground i hate living in a country where a burglar has more rights when he breaks into my house than i do despite all this...i love my country and its beauty and its people...the hardest working and most tolerant people on the face of the earth... have a nice day posted by the anomaly |

 I hate that no-one ever seems to learn. Ok, our railway system has been creaking for a while, but they fixed it good. === They sold the railways off - well parts of it, they got members of the public to stump up hard cash to own part of a railway that they've already owned for years. One of the reasons for this was "it would remove the expense from the public sector and place it in the private sector - service and safety will increase as a result of the extra investment" The Strange thing is the goverment kept pumping susidies into the now private company which in return, cut services. The services that remained were so bad that many people gave up and returned to the roads. The rail companies laid off staff and cut costs to the bone. Trains become more and more unreliable and more and more crowded. And still the government pumped public money into it. Rail crashes increased as safety plummeted, fares increased and the size of trains decreased. Each of the companies blamed the others and nothing was done to fix it. Come the end of the year, the train companies announced a profit. 
The Infrastructure Company (the one the public got a piece of) spiralled out of control, eventually collapsing under the strain. Bankrupt. So the government stepped in - about f*cking time - but what's this, they stepped in to artificiually prop up the share price so that the shareholders didn't lose out - What?
So after all this what would you expect next. Certainly not for the government to put forward plans to privatise the Underground in order to "remove the expense from the public sector and place it in the private sector - service and safety will increase as a result of the extra investment" What kind of monkeys are running this circus? posted by Marl64 |

It's easy to forget one or two points, you get half way through these rants and a thought suddenly occurs; Nobody's gonna believe this is real. Hell even I don't half the time. I remember talking to a railtrack shreholder when the news came in about the "government assisted share price fiddle" "Well it's only fair, it's not our fault the company failed" Funny he wasn't in a hurry to pay back the bonuses he received for having the shares a year earlier. It seems to be a new variant of the stock market - one where any profits are yours, and any losses are picked up by the tax payer. Aaaargh! posted by Marl64 |

We have so many low life losers of our own, we could do with the talents of those who risk everything to get here. I think we should buy you the anomaly a one-way ticket to somewhere else and keep an asylum seeker. so you would gladly keep an eastern European gangster who forces underage girls into prostitution that someone doing a phD is forensic science and who actually pays taxes to the economy...or perhaps you would prefer someone who only comes here for the free HIV treatment at the cost of £50,000 a year to the tax payer off you pop little one...come back when you've got your sociology degree and you're getting junkies suspended sentences at court because they daddies slapped them around a little when they were kids you don't actually wonder whats happening when we have so many low life losers in this country when we used to have the best education system in the world and produced some of the greatest engineers and inventors and scientists the world have ever known...and now, despite the fact that we spend hugely more sums of money per student...we produce idiots and troubles makers who's only piece of paper they are likely to get are fines and ASBO's rather than degrees and diplomas maybe it has something to do with the massive amounts of drugs being brought into the country...by who?...that's right...illegal immigrants...well done you...you're resigning our country to the also rans of the world... posted by the anomaly |

Anomaly is a decent bloke and doesn't deserve to be deported simply because his views differ from hotter's. As for some things I hate about Great Britain: (1) What's so "Great" about it? Making everybody call your country "Great" is just obnoxious. (2) King Henry VIII, Lord Protector Oliver Cromwell, and King George III (the American Revolution king) were all obviously sociopaths, but many British people still admire them out of blind patriotism. (3) They stole Madonna. 
(4) My best friend is from London and he is currently dating a girl who once turned me down for a date. (5) Fatpie42 and his anti-American agitprop.
