 Are UFO's just a govornments method of controling people away from the real truth...they are conducting boring ol' test flights of new aircraft? This all started with Roswell, was it a crashed bloon? was it a crashed test fighter? was it all nonsense? posted by Crossfade |

I think in this age of digital media and people carrying cameras/cams everywhere you'd think ONE person either on perpose or accident would have caught real clear pictures of an UFO. All you EVER see is grainy/shakey footage of something indestict. People love to believe in higher beings, it's like believing in god, keeps you warm at night and takes away the fear of the big bad world i guess. posted by Crossfade |

In my hometown, there was a U.F.O. spotting every week. I could even swear I saw a few too, but I don't always believe my eyes. It eventually got me pretty scared of aliens. Humans are always looking for answers, it's just our nature. I'm the kind of person who kinda cares, but can't be stuffed looking for answers. Wouldn't it be cool if Bigfoot existed? This world already has some pretty weird things that were once considered legends until found real recently. E.g. That whale with the long horn and the Giant Squid of which no scientist in this century and last has seen a live one and claimed it. There's a documentary about a few scientists searching for a live one in New Zealands shores, but found none. Ironically, more dead giant squids were found in that time then ever befor. A true let down to be so close yet so far. Who knows what other creatures lurk our oceans, to bad we can only go so deep. posted by hungarian kid |

As we spread across the planet it is a shame we end up destroying more species than we actually know about. I mean, the Dodo was around untill the 1920's, the ocean is the last great undiscovered country and we are slowly poisoning the bloody thing. Good ol' human beings  posted by Crossfade |

Damn the Dodo would have made a great pet. Hopefully the creatures deep below the surface are unaffected by constant human blunders. It'd be such a shame to kill off creatures that have never even been seen. Imagine how cool some things could look! Imagine how big things could be! It would be cool to think there are still behemoths roaming the oceans two miles down but sadly the way nature works means that all life at that depth is small and conserves as much energy as possible because the food is so scarce. the life down there is amazing to look at though, almost all transparent in nature. posted by Crossfade |

 I for one believe that UFOs are real...I saw something when I was 13 that started my fascination for anything extraterrestrial. I have read many books, watched much footage and have been a subscriber to UFO Magazine for many years. Plus I've taken part in many Sky-Watches! I like to belive that they are crossing dimensions. I was part of an interesting discussion many moons ago on a ufo forum that basicaly went along the lines of aliens arent really aliens but humans much further in the future coming back to study us(their ancestors) we have evolved and as such looked like so many do in the X-files, pale skin, massive head and eyes. It seemed more likely than different species coming from millions of light years away just to 'look' at us. posted by Crossfade |

 Where I live UFO's are quite common, but I don't have the patience to look out the window long enough to see them. A few years ago I had a lodger who was a real UFO nut and he did stare out of the Window for extended periods. On several occasions he dragged me to the window to see unusual lights and I am at aloss to explain them. One day, he went to a local shop. He was in there for no more than a couple of minutes and when he came out, all the people nearby were looing into the sky and pointing and chatting. He asked s few what was going on and was told "This huge silver shape just flew across the sky, really low and very fast." He was so pissed off that (after years of watching distant lights at night) he had missed one close up in broad daylight by minutes. There are clearly more than one type of UFOs, and they don't just date from 1947 either. There were numerous sightings of "unexplained aerial phenomona" in America back around 1895 or so. Those days, they were reported as strange airships, with inventors that promised the world would soon seen a startling new means of transport. Wish fulfillment perhaps? maybe. At least one was a certifiable hoax. See think-aboutit.com... for details. The other problem is nonclamenture. There will always be "Unidentified" Flying Objects, because not everything is identifiable, is it? posted by LauraS |

i have heard that as well about humans from the future...it is plausable...look at the mouth that the typical alien discription has as well...seems small because of that big brain if they evolved telepathy it would not be needed for speech anymore... posted by The ONEder Man |
