Nianza: I'm a girl and I hold the door open for men and women. It's just a small kindness I like to do. I think holding a door open for a woman is sexist. Moreover I think all women should wear the same bra size. posted by knn |

allone: man, i hate that one! (when my girlfriend gets in one of her "moods") and i open a door for her i get something like, "what? do you think i CANT open a door for myself! that im soo weak and frail that i NEED someone to open the door for me, a MAN! i can take care of myself!" WHOA...okay, I understand your point of view of when feminists go "overboard" now... Yeesh. That's one fiesty girl. allone: there was something good that came of her feminism though, valentines day SHE paid for our date. haha, i told her, "if you want to break the chains that society has placed on you and me, why don't YOU take ME out for valentines day?" i was joking of course, but she (to prove a point) insisted on taking me out and paying for me and ordering for me opened the doors for me and so on (i should have blown up and said how i could do it for myself, but i didn't). it felt good to be paid for and taken out...for a change. Awesome. So it worked out...? GP: Yep. I dated a girl like this...kind of. We went to a restaurant and I held the door for her, to which she laid into me w/the typical feminist mantra. When she finished her diatribe, I calmly closed the door, flagged down a cab, and said "good-night." Date ended before we even had dinner. Wow, you really let her have it... allone: and yes, that is it. i have held doors open for men too. i have held doors open for total strangers. if we both reach a door at the same time, i will reach out, open it and let the other person (no matter what sex they are) go ahead of me. especially if its an older/ederly or handicapped person. not because i feel that i am stronger or can hold a door open, but because i feel it is polite. no matter what sex you are. Yup, I do too. I've already mentioned in my previous post that you guys have won me over about bras and shaving legs. nocturnal_anonymous: I could go on and on about political positions though. But no one seems to have addressed politics...except for bluewolf, who I scared away. posted by nocturnal_anonymous |

I do think that we should all hold the doors open for each othe. I think that for you men out there that do it JUST because we are females should quit it, and behave like real gentlemen and open it for all. As for bras..I wear them because braless is uncomfortable for me, and it sometimes hurts. I think that we should be seen in higher political positions, and one day, I'd hope to see a female Prime Minister that is respected by all. I also don't like how we are expected to shave almost every place we grow hair, I do shave, but I like men that aren't hairy-so why can't men shave almost every place as well? If they do, they are considered gay...I think it's more attractive though. I bet finding a good guy who will do that for me in the future will be hard. As for now...I hope all violating men who read this take my points into consideration. It's one of my life dreams to take down all sexism, and break all glass ceilings. posted by Lala89 |

Lala89: I'm a female, and I wouldn't mind a unisex bathroom. I don't want a unisex bathroom. Not out of any concern for privacy or decency. Have you been to a public event lately? The lines to the women's bathroom wrap around the world. However, it's rare to see a line to the men's bathroom. posted by Tiefling |

Men are supposed to impress women via (1) status/job/possessions, (2) appearance, (3) personality/charm. Women are supposed to impress men via (1) appearance, (2) personality/charm, (3) status/job/possessions. I don't like this much. But, it seems the "standard" ritual between the genders. posted by Tiefling |

Tiefling: I don't want a unisex bathroom. I don't either. However, my reasons ARE for decency and privacy. When my guy cousins come over to my house or when I go to their house, they piss all over toilet seat and sometimes even on the floor GOSH, have they no decency? I don't really have a problem with guys not putting down the toilet seat when they're done, like some other girls do, but the pissing all over the place just doesn't cut it for me. My dance teacher for summer dance camp last year told me that the boys that went to the bathroom always left it cleaner than the girls did...but I guess that tells you something about boy dancers. Just to give you a hint: the dance teacher was gay. posted by nocturnal_anonymous |

So females can be respected leaders so no sob stories about females being seen as inferior because Kim was a great prime minister better then Paul Martin. So leave your hick country and come see me but do it soon cause this summer im going back to england. Oh and the leg shaving thing guys don't because it is considered gay girls do because is considered sexy, the end so it works both ways. posted by Kupov |

Kupov2: Oh and the leg shaving thing guys don't because it is considered gay really? the swimmers in our school (maybe its just these gay americans) shave their legs. guys. the point is, why do girls shave their legs? to feel sexy? why do they want to feel sexy? to attract guys. so it all leads back to pleasing the males. posted by sangu |

sangu: why do girls shave their legs? to feel sexy? why do they want to feel sexy? to attract guys. so it all leads back to pleasing the males. Why do guys take girls out to expensive restaurants? Why do guys bring flowers to girls? Why do guys buy girls drinks at bars? To attract girls! So it all leads back to pleasing the ladies. You don't like it that girls have to please guys via dress/appearance. Well, *I* don't like it that guys have to please girls via $$$. And don't kid yourself --- guys have to do just as much on their appearance to please ladies. Why do guys work out at the gym? Why do guys buy expensive suits? Why do guys keep themselves clean shaven? posted by Tiefling |
