The Shroud of Turin This is reportedly the shroud that Jesus Christ was covered with when He died and resurrected. I think the bible was created to make people conform. If you don't believe in 'this' and do 'these things' you will go to a bad place when you die. And obviously, it was pretty effective since a lot of people still seem to think this way. Do I think it's right? No, but I do think it probably had some good ideas that were taken out of context or distorted along the way. What I don't understand is how the bible can possibly be considered the word of God, when it was written and interpreted by PEOPLE. People have alterior motives, they're dangerous. Read about him in any encyclopedia. The Bible was his fruit and that fruit falls not far from the tree. What a sick and twisted comment from an ignorant nobody. Blatant public homosexual? Really? That's funny seeing how this allegation came from Anthony Weldon. (whom had been excluded from the court which prompted his smear) This smear also occurred in 1650. That's 25 years after the death of KJ. He wrote a paper calling KJ a homosexual, which was ignored largely as enough people still alive that knew him discredited it. The other comments of exploitations I wont even waste my typing with. It's people like this that totally kill factual debates.  I am going to agree that the bible was written by criminals and mad men. Man as in crazy. Cause to be honest, everyone who really follows Jesus is mad. I am a christian and am insane. I mean, this guy walks up and says, hey, want to live forever? Follow me. Its insane to think that 12 dudes were like..ok, then more, and more and more and more started. I think it is awesome. Jesus himself was reckless...in a good way. He told the truth. Now, is the bible inaccurate? There are parts that are questionable with the translationsI(usually just a word in a verse) But in all honesty. No, it is not. Its true and I have faith that what it says is what it pretty much said when it was written, but mad guys who followed a man who turned out to be honest, and the Son of God, God Himself. the stories in the bible were already amazingly old before they een got written down. who knows what originally happened, that's the beauty of it. the ultimate word of mouth chronicle. constantine edited out most of it anyway, bless him. posted by sam1986 |
