 Oh god, you're getting into the Powermetal Kupov? *vomits* lol. Check out Nevermore, one of the only vaguely powermetal bands I can stand. Leaves Eyes isn't horrible either. Atm I recommend the Howling Bells. Cool Melbourne band I've been into for a while, now I suppose they're technically a England band since they moved.  Saw them live wednesday night, was a hell of a show. Heh the guitarist was cool aswell, had a Princess Mononoke picture on his guitar, and I talked to him after the show and he was a Neil Gaiman fan, heh so pretty cool guy. I recommend the songs Setting Sun, The Bell Hit, heh and most of the songs off their album. Also  Awesome folk-cross other styles. Vaguely Tom Waits style of growling with lots of clear singing aswell. Really awesome song writer, I recommend the songs Southern Cross, Northern Lights, Balloon Feather Boat Tomato and Then. Heh and Graveyard and Mine for his darker sorta jazzier songs. I finally got a Morbid Angel album, heh band recommended to me ages ago by Northern_James. Domination, awesome album. Flows really well, has an awesome beginning, middle and a funking awesome end (Hatework, one of my favourite songs from before I even got the album.) Really decent metal album, I'd almost say it's a must have for metalheads. Songs to definitely listen to off it are Hatework, Caesar's Palace, Where the Slime Live, but really it's best to listen to the whole album from start to finish since it all flows together so brilliantly. Some synth instrumental tracks inbetween a few, and Dominate leads into Where the Slime Live perfectly. And once again, Hatework is a funking awesome climax to the album. posted by hungarian kid |
