 Tiefling: Sex spreads AIDS! It doesn't matter what kind. Well, mostly gay sex spreads AIDS. AIDS _IS_ an illness of gays. Heterosexuals practically never get AIDS (because they don't have sex with gays). And they hardly spread AIDS. (There is actually another way to infect someone with HIV, and that is from mother->embryo. But that's a side note) I have the feeling that all the talk about "it's the virus' fault, everyone can get it" is a media hysteria. The statistics that I have cited prove otherwise: AIDS = premature death for gays. (Except in Africa, but that has been mentioned above). posted by knn |

I was flabbergasted when I noticed how vividly gays try to convince everyone that ANYONE can get AIDS. And that it has NOTHING to do with the way of life (promiscuity, drugs,...) but that it has everything to do with viruses. It seemed, it was just a case of non-responsibility (because if it's a virus and not your own behaviour, then you can't do anything against it). They got really angry, when someone proposed this may have to do with poppers. posted by knn |

Tiefling: lol. proof? The proof is that in 99% of the cases where HIV is spread by sex, it's gay sex. The proof is also, that only gays (and a small % of hemophiliacs and drug addicts) get AIDS, as shown by the statistics I posted. But maybe you mean something else: Maybe you don't mean the statistical average of how AIDS _IS_ spread but how likely AIDS spreads from 1 person to another in HYPOTHETICAL circumstances. Then, yes you are right: If you take 2 heterosexuals, who engage in anal sex while taking poppers and having 200+ sex partners per month... then yes, such a persons would infect others as likely as gay persons. I don't think that AIDS attacks gay persons because they are gay. And if you don't believe me: I think there is NOT A SINGLE DOCUMENTED CASE where a heterosexual has spread AIDS to another heterosexual person who then spreads it to another. Most new infections are heterosexually transmitted, and about half are among women. Without condoms, heterosexual transmission continues to soar. Consider this. In some African nations, 1 in 3 adults are infected with HIV. Unprotected sexual contact is common, making transmission more likely and more widespread. Although we clearly don't like discussing it here, the entire heterosexual continent of Africa is suffering and AIDS epidemic, which has nothing to do with homosexuality or anal sex. Perhaps if they would just try to be white, it wouldn't be a problem. Make the gays straight, make the blacks white, and we'd all be comfortable then, wouldn't we?
