As far as technology is concerned: most countries in Europe make better cars, Japan does better electric equipment and American software (ie. Microsoft) is full of bugs, but we all have to buy it to be compatible with everyone else!

It seems that the reason why US can export so much culture is that it's a kind of "averaged culture". They export something everybody would like one way or the other.
