 Anyone here that cares? Because people all over the world are getting pretty pissed off about this. The man is off-course pretty insane. But many americans are very upset. Because they are used to us icelandic people kissing their ass but not now. They want us to send him to america but apparently we won't. Anyone here have an opinion or is this maybe not that interesting? Because this is a very "Hot topic" here in Ze Iceland Bobby Fischer ♣ Iceland ♣* *Just so people won't get confused

 The media is making such an incredible fuss over this entire issue. What I really don't understand is why we (used loosely...seeing as I'm not actually Icelandic, just living here  ) decided to give him a citizenship in the first place...even though he's a former grand master, he's very definitely insane. Nobody would even contemplate giving Caligula an Icelandic citizenship, even though he was an emperor of Rome.

This whole issue is very bizarre. I beg to differ. The only reason why are inviting this lunatic to stay is because he is famous and he also made us famous. If Caligula wanted to become Icelandic I am sure the hippocrits iof iceland would fight to have him become icelandic. Every famous person that has ever set foot on Icelandic soil is instantly labeled "Friend of iceland". when Jerry Seinfeld came here and did his standup he left saying "iceland sucks, icelandic people are the most boring people in the world, youre food sucks its always cold here and you suck" A mont later I read an article in the newspaper talking about some new thing Jerry was doing in the states...a movie or something...and in the headline Jerry was called "Íslands vinurinn Jerry Seinfeld bla bla bla" (Jerry seinfeld, the friend of Iceland bla bla bla) If Dr Josef Mengele was still alive and well and wanted to come chill in Iceland I seriously thing we might allow him to come. We are suckers for famous people that might "Put us on the map" And Fischer did when he came here with that chess cold war chess thing...and now we feel like we are paying him back. we are morons. But still, i think it's ok if he come. We allow him to come for the wrong reasons but allowing him to come is not that bad. posted by Pawnatron |
