»What is your favorite feel good song?«

With that question i mean the one song that you can hear and no matter how bad your day has gone, will make you jam out to it or feel better while you are listening to it.

Mine for some reason would have to be No Rain by Blind Melon

Anyone else have one?

Umm I'd have to think about it... but Here to Stay by Korn kinda works like that for me.

"Have a Nice Day" by the Stereophonics...tune puts me in a good mood everytime.

"World on a String" by Frank Sinatra usually does the job, as well.

Interesting question

Currently, it's been Having A Blast by Green Day. I don't usually have a feel-good song, though. Maybe it's because I listen to "violent and depressing music that kills brain cells"... Not again

Söknušur by Vilhjįlmur Vilhjįlmsson

" Someday all people have to die
After a bright day night comes
I find it regretfull but I have to say:
The summer passes so quickly "

It's kinda like a requium. In icelandic. The text above is translated.
it's just the main verse translated...

it's not that the lyrics cheer me up...I just find that song realy funny...

Because it is so sad...

A paradox I know...but in a way it is cheerfull.

this is kinda my point to the thread, I might make another titled "why is all current rock music whinny and depressing?" because every song that comes out now seems to have some whinny punk guy crying about how he's had a hard life as a child and blah blah blah, what happened to the music that inspires people? we know the world is shitty, sing something to make me forget that for a little while, not make it worse by telling me what i already know Set your George Michael free

oh and i don't mind a mind numbing metal piece at all, just this whinny alt rock punk, whatever this crap is called

Korn is full of depressing lyrics, but it's actually kinda good in away. Kinda shows you that you're not the only person that feels a way about something, makes you feel less alone. Ofcourse you don't take it to seriously though or let it get to you, like you don't start cutting your wrists or something. Other metal with those kinda lyrics I just listen to cus it sounds good or cus occassionally it might do the same thing for me that Korn does. But then again I listen to metal, I'm hating all the whiney alt rock punk, like Good Charlotte and Simple Plan. That stuff is rancid.

heh good question. The songs that make me feel good are spanish and brasilian songs they just make me dance, but also bob marley's songs and reggae like "Red red wine" Smile make me happy
"Like a rolling stone" by Bob Dylan also does it well:)
