»Does anyone here play golf?«

you rock V! my friend and i have been quoting that exact line the past couple of days!

that one and at the end when Rodney Dangerfield says, "hey everyone! were all getting laid tonight!" totally random, it was great!

I love »Caddyshack«...

"I've been working on this hybrid...it's half Kentucky bluegrass and have California sensemia...the best part about it is that you can play 36 holes on it, then when you're finished you can smoke it and get higher than bejezus bells."

well, i haven't posted in this thread for a while so here goes...

i hate this game! even though i really like it! it can be soo frustrating and at the same time relaxing...weird. but when you mess up and hit a really bad shot and swear up a storm and you swear that you will never play again...then you hit that one shot, that's awesome, right where you wanted it...its like all those bad shots before go away and you keep going.

its weird but i am kinda at a point where, right in the middle of my swing i already know if its going to be good or not...i just need to work on being consistant, that's all.

i have been practicing regularly...well, i try to atleast...anyway, i have updated my equipment, i got a set of taylormade irons for a really good price (they were used) and they feel really good to me.

i also purchased a taylormade rac black 56degree wedge, i love this club...my short game is pretty good considering i haven't been playing all that long.

i got a new three wood (a mac burrows with an aftermarket shaft) since i didn't have one, and thinking that i could use it to drive since i cannot hit my driver for crap...i used a 5 wood once and was able to hit it very well. anyway, the first time out to the course with it i out-drove any previous drive i had ever had and also my friend that plays with me, and they were so straight, it was amazing!

i also got a new putter, yes, another taylormade product, the rossa monza putter. i really like this putter, its very easy to line up puts with this thing, and very easy to swing, the club seems to swing itself.

i ordered a new driver after trying one at a shop, its a taylormade R7 quad, these things are really cool, there are 4 weights located on the head of the club that you can interchange to fit your swing. i got just the regular R7 with the TP upgrade (comes with 8 extra different size weights for a more custom fit) it also has an aftermarket shaft on it. it should be in this week. i cant wait!

(taylormade should start giving me money for using all their stuff! haha, they just have some really nice equipment and i like how they feel out of all the other brands i have tried out)

i went out today for a lesson and then played by myself until it started pouring rain on the third hole...i got a raincheck...haha

anyway, i have a tournament that i will be playing in this october. its being hosted by the company that i work for. and because everyone i work with will be out there, i have enrolled for a weekly lesson until the tournament...i want to impress people.

so, that's all for now...thought i would share since i haven't in so long...

all you really need is 88mph. that's when the flux compacitor starts to work.

Thanks for the update, man! Thumb Up

Yeah, golf is a funny game...the minute you think, "hey, I think I've got this game figured out," something happens and you realize you haven't figured out shit. White laugh

That is a sweet driver you're getting, dude. I have an R7 and absolutely love it...took me a couple rounds to get the feel of it, but I'm now hitting it consistently 270-290 every drive. A couple of weekends a go, I even drove a 323-yard par 4. Ah, nothing like a 2-putt for birdie. Thumb Up

I'm going to be doing a lot of traveling w/my job very soon...possibly in Texas. If I ever get reasonably close to the Nach, let's hook up and play some golf.

awesome Thumb Up im not really all that good, but im getting there. let me know when and where you will be. there are some pretty high ranked courses in texas. theres one in houston in which every hole is a copy of a hole from a famous course. and tyler (about an hour north of here) has a few good courses from what i have read.

first place is a pontoon boat. but seeing as how it will be a four man scramble...i don't really know how they plan on giving it to the winning team. oh well, i don't plan on winning, just having fun. Yes, oh yes.. keep going

im starting to notice that a lot of people in the field that i am now in play this game a lot. everyone talks about it almost daily, talks about going to tournaments, there are flyers posted in the copy room of upcoming tournaments and such...everything, one guy even has his clubs in his office. i had my brochure for the R7 driver up at work in my office and it kinda vanished and ended up on the front counter, haha.

so yeah, that's the main reason why i really want to be better than i am, i expect a lot of people there are pretty good...and they know that i play seeing as how they found my R7 info, and that's not really a beginners club...
