»Urgent Help! ResXX\McShield.dll missing«

This message appears whenever a friend of mine starts Internet Explorer at the office. It disables websurfing and several other functions. We have McAfee Anti Virus installed if it helps.

I already searched the net for anything but it seems to be either a new thing, or not very common.

Knn: I know you know a lot about these issues, so if you can help it will be highly appreciated Thumb Up

Of course I did, but I couldn't find anything specific on how to fix it.

• Sometimes there is no fix
• All your data is lost
• Years of work washed down the drain
• You cannot sue anybody
• Suicide is a viable alternative
• If that happens then you know that you have been hit by the second worst malware there is

And what's the worst?

No, the worst is malware that is constantly working in the background and destroying data bit by bit, e.g. Excel tables or word files, for years...

Is there really no way to fix it? I've got this problem too, and quite surprise that whether McAfee be installed or not it still happens! What should I do? Or is formatting the only choice? T_T

I also have message on start up that there is a problem with vstskmgr.exe and it has to close. These errors seem to be related and it prevents me using the search option on my hard drive. Any thoughts?
