Burglary, Obstruction of Justice, etc. It started with a politically-motivated burglary in the Watergate office complex in DC and ended with Nixon resigning and President Ford pardoning Nixon for his involvement in the resultant coverup. It is a black mark on our political history that should never be forgotten. posted by Nixonslayer |

a presidential administration that was seeking re-election, or those who were acting to promote its interests, might possibly abuse their power by trying to illegally steal strategic information from the headquarters of the opposition political party. As I understand it, they were looking for dirt on political rivals, i.e. Democrats. I also once read about a connection to the Howard Hughes ( Also, Nixon was so paranoid at that point about the Democrats and the anti-Vietnam-war movement that he was lashing out, and thus brought about his downfall. Some people say GW Bush is the worst president, but my "vote" still goes for Nixon. Stay tuned for further developments, haha. Someone should start a poll for "Worst US President." Candidates include Harding, Nixon, and GW Bush. posted by Burglarslayer |
