No that was me. I was saying, and I say again, the British court would have tried Jefferson as a traitor and probably executed him had the Revolutionary War been lost.

Sorry, I misread your post.

Well don't let it happen again!

My ultimate ambition is to foment some kind of rebellion in Britain which leads to the overthrow of the Royal Family and the death by mangling and dismemberment of Prince William and King Charles III.

If I ever get an audience that bitch Wills better start stockpiling weapons. The world has had enough of rich shithead monarchs.

WEll I am gunna reply to the original post, I am a Canadian, not even British, and I love my Queen, I would serve her to the end. It is the fact that her family was the the factor that created my modernized country, and others and I will always be indebted to her for that. I beleive the U.S. of the late 1700's were traitors and treasonists, there is no other explanation for it, in many ways it could be considered a civil war as the U.S. was not really a country at the time, it was just a colony like my country was.

Another thing is the fact that without Great Britain, the U.S.A would probably not be here either.

To say the U.S.A. is a great bastion of liberty and freedom is a load, this coming from a country who had slavery until the late 1860's, at least Britain by 1830 gave the death penalty across the empire for slavery, and the West African squadron was patrolling the slave coast and attacked slave ships.

Lastly to say the Empire was some greatly terrible thing is abit exaggerated.
The Empire stabalized many nations of the time, and created Nations that exist in peace today, Palestine and Isreal under British rule weren't trying to kill each other day after day.

Look at Canada we did not fight some great revolution, we did what we were told, we put in our part, and today we are a economic power in modern society.

I would love to see the Empire reunited and under her majesty, even if it is just a dream, I beleive it would be beneficial.

I did a Google search and ended up here. I am an Americian have never been out of this country. I personally do not "hate" any nation or people who do things differently than I do. I am in no way a perfect person and have made my share of mistakes. That being said, there is something that I do not understand. I do not understand the "real" issue or problem between the USA and Britain. It seems that the we as Americans feels that folks in the UK are snobby and stuck up. However it also seems folks in the UK have that same view of Americans. Why is this?
I love automobiles and enjoy watching a show on BBC America called TopGear. Now a host on there Jeremy Clarkson is 100% anti American, why? If you listen to him, we do not nor have we ever made a quality car at anytime, period. I personally disagree, but that is my opinion. Why is it that there are from what I am reading online only a few tv and radio stations in the UK and all run by the BBC? In the USA you have your pick of who know how many tv, cable, and satelite tv stations and the same goes for radio and music.
Why do we as countries seem to pick on each other rather than learn and grow from each other and focus on our strenths rather than the weaknesses? In my opinion the best cars come from the USA and the UK, not Japan. The same goes for high end audio gear.
Personally I feel that some of the problems with America seem to come from a "it is all about me" attitude. It seems like many Americans now seem to care about themselves and we have become very materealistic. I do not know how that is in the UK.
OK, so the USA and UK had issues in the past, but why can we not move past that and move on? Please help me understand where our issues lie and why we may not see eye to eye. Smile
