»Some websites run by Scientology about antidepressants«

Here are some wacky and crazy websites brought to you by Clearwater, Florida's own Church of Scientology...

L. Ron Hubbard is the founder of Scientology. He has described his philosophies in more than 5,000 writings, including dozens of books, and three thousand tape recorded lectures. Those who regularly employ his teachings to improve themselves and help their fellows come from all walks of life.

The universal acclaim for the man — including thousands of awards and recognitions from individuals and groups and the unprecedented popularity of his works among all people — is but one indicator of the effectiveness of his technologies. More importantly, there are millions of people around the world who consider they have no greater friend.

Another funny writing:
Zyprexa

zyprexa- doctor insisted it would work. i told him how horrible it was. he kept telling me it would get better to keep taking it. I would lie motionless for 6-8 hours and have no control. Like i was tranqualized. I asked him if it was ok to do my normal daily bike rides and he said it was ok even though the meds said to not do extensive exercise. i would get severe cramps. it was like lactic acid was tripled in my muscles. I didn't even feel safe driving to classes since i felt so drugged. I kept waiting for the "better" the doc was talking about. I always knew this wasn't good.I also am worried about the diabetes affect. I don't know if I should get checked out or not...

Oh I knew that was coming...you changed both the topic title and the forum it was located in...maybe in your country scientology is considered "Science", but here it is a cult that movie stars use to inflict their sick desire for power on the rest of us...

1) As I do very often with different topics. Check on the offtopic page how often I do it.
2) Because BOTH were obviously wrong. You hardly will find any user who can honestly agree, that this thread should go to the "Fun forum" (as it was before).

It's really unfortunate that some people seem to equate Scientology with the movement against psychiatry. Scientology is but one subset of the anti-psychiatry movement. They tend to get more than their fair share of press, though, because they have a lot of money and they include a lot of Hollywood celebrities among their members. I am grateful to the Scientologists for putting some good information out there about the dangers of psychiatry but I have no time at all for their other teachings.
