 The secret of British Prime Minister Tony Blair famous all-year healthy glow has been revealed - he spends almost twice as much on make-up as the average British woman.
Figures released by Downing Street in answer to a parliamentary question showed that Blair spent more than 1,800 pounds sterling ($AU4,000) on make-up and make-up artists over the past six years. In contrast, the average British woman spends 195 pounds (Au$440) a year on both make-up and skincare. The written answer - released quietly on Thursday, the final day of the parliamentary session before MPs begin their summer break - said that between 1999-2005, Downing Street paid out 1,050.22 pounds ($AU2,387) in cosmetics for the prime minister's media appearances. In the past two years, a further 791.20 pounds ($AU1,800) was spent on make-up artists. In the run-up to the May general election, many pundits noted that Mr Blair had acquired a suspiciously orange glow.  hopefully women won't need to wear makeup in the not so distant future... and a lot of men in the public eye wear makeup, not just the public eye either...nothing weird about that...maybe the money is a bit much but...he IS prime minister... posted by gkiss |

Oh contraire Môn Capitan, in the Elizabethan times it was not uncommon for men to wear more makeup than women. This also reoccurred to a lesser degree with the new romantics of the 80s There is nothing to stop it happening again when you least expect it.

Your statement is only faintly related to OneDerMan's No OneDerMan's statement is re-enforced by my own. By showing how in the past men have worn more than women, it makes it all the more likely they will sometime in the "not so distant future" wear the same as women.
